Ada Alignment and Tire SJohnston Ada, OK Revdex.com South Dewey Oklahoma City, OK To whom it may concern: I am the Chief Executive Officer of Ada Alignment and Tire (the “Company”), and I recently received a letter addressed to the Company regarding a claim submitted by a customer to the Revdex.com expressing concern with a recent business transaction. The ID number assigned to this concern is ***. This letter is in response to that complaint and provides the details of what transpired on the day in question, July 28, The customer had previously scheduled an alignment service for his vehicle and had also requested that we balance all four tires as well. Once the customer brought and left the vehicle with us, we performed the service to balance all four tires. Upon completion of that service, we then pulled the customer’s vehicle onto the alignment rack for an initial inspection. Our standard policy is to test drive all vehicles down the street approximately four blocks and back prior to and following the completion of an alignment. Test driving prior to the alignment allows our mechanics to gain a better understanding of the current issues with the vehicle, and the test drive following the completion of the alignment is done to ensure the problem is resolved. This policy has been used by the Company since opening in 1983. I explained this policy to the customer as I was initially under the impression that we drove his car in this manner. However, I was informed after the customer left that his car fell under a different standard policy of the Company. This vehicle was armed with an ignition breathalyzer device, and as such, it is company policy to not drive those vehicles off the property for fear something may malfunction with the device and not allow us to restart the vehicle leaving it stranded on the road. Given this customer’s vehicle was equipped with such a breathalyzer device, the shop employees only pulled the vehicle in and out of one bay to balance the tires and then onto the alignment rack to inspect the vehicle. In the customer’s letter to the Revdex.com, he states that his “DTE, Distance till Empty was over miles” when he left the vehicle with us and that his “DTE read 95” when he left after our service was performed. The customer made allegations while in my office that my employees took his vehicle out on a “joy ride” because they thought it looked fast. That allegation is blatantly false. Our company has been a business and community leader in Ada since 1983, and that is due to our loyal customer base who fully depends upon and receives honesty and quality work with regards to their vehicles. I informed him that the “DTE”, as he referred to it, measures liquid and that it can fluctuate depending even on whether the vehicle is parked on an incline. I asked him if he could let me know what his odometer reading was upon arrival so that we could see truly how many miles had been driven, and he said he was then no longer concerned about the mileage issue. As previously stated, once the service was completed to balance all four tires, an employee pulled the vehicle onto the alignment rack for an initial inspection. Standard procedure is to check parts on all vehicles prior to performing an alignment because if there are issues with bad parts, then we do not align the vehicle. Doing so without replacing the bad parts would only result in the vehicle becoming out of alignment once again which is not in the best interest of the customer. Upon the initial inspection of the vehicle by a mechanic as well as the shop foreman, it was determined that this vehicle had a bad left inner tie rod end and should not be aligned until that part was replaced. No additional work was performed on the vehicle by the Company. When the customer arrived back at the shop, the mechanic and shop foreman raised the vehicle on the lift and showed the customer the issue with the left inner tie rod end and informed him it would need to be replaced prior to aligning the vehicle. Standard policy is that we do not charge anything to the customer for checking the parts as we had done, so per the policy, this customer was not charged for that service. The mechanic and shop foreman also pointed out to the customer that the transmission seal where the CV axle attaches was leaking. Fixing that mechanical failure is not a service performed by the Company, but the mechanic and shop foreman were simply going above and beyond to notify the customer of the issue. The mechanic and shop foreman also pointed out to the customer that someone had apparently applied silicone to the CV axle joints prior to it being brought into Ada Alignment and Tire. After showing the customer the issues related to bad parts on his vehicle, the shop foreman brought the customer into the office and provided him with a quote as to the cost to replace the left inner tie rod end as well as to perform a front and rear alignment. Again, a front and rear alignment had been initially requested by the customer, but we did not perform that service nor did we attempt to charge him for that service given the alignment could not be completed without first replacing the bad left inner tie rod end. The quote provided to the customer showed the cost of the actual part (the left inner tie rod end) and was shown in the column labeled “Parts”. The second line of the quote showed the cost of the labor to install the left inner tie rod end, and the cost of this labor was shown in a column labeled “Labor”. The third line of the quote showed the cost of a front and rear alignment, and the cost of this labor was shown in a column labeled “Labor”. The customer became belligerent stating that we were attempting to charge him for two parts as he was claiming the line that showed the labor was somehow a different part. After several minutes of the shop foreman simply stating that it was for the labor to install the part as well as showing it to the customer several times on the quote that it was a charge for labor, the customer drove away without even paying for the service we had already performed of balancing his four tires. At no point did we ever ask the customer to pay us for the left inner tie rod end, the labor to install the left inner tie rod end, or the front and rear alignment service. The customer then came back to Ada Alignment and Tire to discuss the issue with me. I explained everything in the same way to the customer, and after he once again became belligerent and threatened to sue me, I asked him to kindly take the quote we provided him and leave the facility. His brother had apparently come into the office downstairs during this time and asked our manager if he could go upstairs and remove his brother due to his erratic behavior, but the customer left prior to that happening. The customer also states in his letter that the quote shows “inner tie rod rack & pinion part” which is false. The quote, which I have attached for your review, states “STRPT Tie Rod Inner Rack and Pin” with the amount for that line being in the “Labor” column. Finally, the customer states in his letter to the Revdex.com that we caused failure to his transmission stating there is a “night and day difference, it hitches now”. The customer then goes on to say in his letter that his “car has since been inspected by a transmission specialist” who concluded “nothing is wrong” with the transmission In conclusion, the customer has asked for restitution for the cost of repairs to his vehicle. Ada Alignment and Tire is in no way liable for any issues with this vehicle, and the Company will contest any action brought against it claiming as such. Respectfully, *** *** CEO

I believe an employee of this business is responsible for 2 CV Axle Boots leaking , a Tire rod end , linkage in my shifter is night & day different than before I took it to this alignment shop & a Power Steering Leak . There is silicone around my CV axle joints , the mechanic that inspected...

my front end on 7.26.17 says there wasnt silicone on it that day . 2 days prior to me taking my vehicle to the alignment shop a Very Well Known mechanic within the community of Ada looked at my front end & his conclusion was all it needed was an alignment . My car has since 7.28.17 been inspected by a transmission specialist , nothing is wrong with my transmission . Currently it is at the mechanics shop that inspected my car 7.26.17 . He will have a conclusion for me by the end of this week .  I'm seeking my options . Never had to deal with anything like this before . I suppose restitution of cost for repairs would be sufficient . Somebody had basically molested my brand new car . I'm 23 years old & this car was my baby girl . They only made 6300 of the types of vehicles . The shop hands even asked me if it was fast & once I got back to the alignment shop to pick it up , when I mentioned the silicone , the shop hand dismissed like I shouldn't worry about it .
