Adair Floors 'N' Mor', Inc.

I bought a Mohawk carpet from a adairs for my mothers house after my father passed away in 2014. After one year I went to visit her and saw the carpet was wearing terribly. I contacted adairs and sent them pictures of the carpet and they said they would submit it to mohawk. After two weeks and hearing nothing I called adairs and they told me she had not heard back from them. I even called mohawk and they said they have never received a claim from adares for me. I called adairs again and they told me she would be filing the claim the next day. Mohawk after getting the claim sent an inspector over and said there was nothing abnormal about the carpet where. My brother lives with my mom and after the inspector left and he came home he told me I should have showed him the pile that pulls up when you vacuum which I was unaware of at the time. So I sent pictures to adairs again and they sent the pictures to mohawk. At this point Mohawk wanted me to send them a sample of the carpet which I did. Again the claim was denied. all adairs would do is tell me that I could hire another carpet inspector on my own even though I thought that being a year old that the company that sold the carpet should stand behind it they would not do that. They told me they do not warrant the carpet it is warranted by the manufacturer only. Finally after 6 months of frustration and getting nowhere I called Katrina [redacted] with contacts 6 and informed adairs that they may have a news truck in their driveway in the near future. Two days later my claim was accepted .in order to have my carpet installed it cost me another $700 partially because I wanted a new pad with it because I know they had a better pad that is stain resistant. After the carpet was installed I called a dairs and told them I was disappointed that they did not even try to help me with the cost of installation after all I had gone through over the course of the last 6 months and I was told that they did everything they could for me and they got me a free piece of carpet. Well after purchasing a 15 year warranty carpet and after one year sticking another $700 into it I hardly call that free so when I called them to tell them that ,I was told that I am an angry man and that if my friends are like me they would not want them for customers. That response came after I told them I would not send my friends to them. I was still do a $100 refund on the removal of the old carpet because I decided to do it myself after already paying them for it actually had a carpet installer I know remove it for me cheaper. And I called to ask adairs about the refund and I was told there was a problem because when the installers came two put the carpet in they had to move furniture in the house which is now vacant and there was a couch in the living room only and all they did was slide it across the floor because the room was big enough where they did not have to move it but a couple of feet and my brother was there to help them and offered to help them move it and they declined. But Shelly [redacted] told me they would be charging me an extra $25 for moving that couch across the floor and if there's any more contact between us it should be done by letter I assured her there would not be any more contact between us I am still waiting for my refund.
