Adam M. Rodgers

On October 8, 2013 we gave Adam M Rodgers a $550 deposit for electrical work to be performed on October 11, 2013. Mr. Rodgers never showed up to perform the work, never called or emailed to cancel, and to date has not returned our deposit. We have been told by the carpenter who referred him to us that Mr. Rodgers believes he should be given a second chance and he is using our monies for personal reasons. This is extortion! We have absolutely no trust in Mr Rodgers, and have been so concerned by his fraudulent and inappropriate conduct we have contacted our local police and issued a no trespass order. In summary, Mr Rodgers took our money and simply disappeared with it.Product_Or_Service: electrical workDesired SettlementWe have been greatly affected by this, as our renovation project has been significantly delayed. We request compensation of $550 (monies taken) as well as $180 (additional costs incurred to have job performed on late notice) for a total request of $730.Business Response the customer was payed back in full as stated in multiple text messages. a check was sent on the 28th of october back to the customer for the amount of 550$ the exact amount that was received for materials and has been cashed by the customer. I tried on multiple occasions to clear up this matter with mr [redacted] but they were extremely difficult and making unrealistic demands. if any thing the customer not only made verbal threats but sent people to my house at 2am to do physically harm as stated on my voice mail. if I receive any further harassment I will b contacting authorities and filing charges on mr [redacted] and the carpenter for harassment. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The fact is on 10/30 we received a personal check from people we assume are Adam Rodgers [redacted]. It concerns us that he gave our personal information to others and we were extremely uncomfortable taking their check. Mr. Rodgers is completely untruthful in the rest of his response. We hope he gets the help he needs.
