Adams and Ives, Incorporated Reviews (1)

Review: I had called nestors when we had trouble with a clogged main drain. so I called the plumber and hechecked it out and proceeded to tell me it was not clogged it was because it was piped up hill,at which time I inquired as to why it worked fine for 3 years like that which he would not answer.he took the toilet off and checked it out and could not even put it back on right,if he calls himselfa plumber than I am mighty mouse that episode cost me over 300 dollars next day I had to call him backbecause the toilet still did not work, this time it cost 250 dollars and he still did nothing, the nextday he came back and this is no lie he never came in the house and charged me 127.50 dollars.I finallyhad to get the borough here and dig the drain line up and unclog it at a cost of 800 dollars.Desired Settlement: I want the $600.00 I spent to Nestor's who did nothing to fix the problem and for everyone to know how much of a rip off they are.

To whom it may concern,I have reviewed the 2 Invoices totaling 513.52 for the client making a complaint and enclosed copies. I have followed up with [redacted] Borough on their findings and what was done to correct the problem. Nestor’s Service Center was contacted regarding toilets and drains not draining properly and a service call set for 4/2/2014. Many issues can cause slow drainage and the process of elimination begins to find the actual problem, this process can be time consuming and costly for any homeowner and of course starts with the most obvious issues. On 4/2/2014 our plumbing technician found that the lines were not clogged as they would drain, just slower than should be, several piping and venting issues were noted. On 4/3/14 the technician returned at the customer’s request and the toilet was pulled to check the toilet line itself. On 4/9/2014 The client complained that the lines had worked for a week but were now plugged and not draining, upon arrival 4/9/2014 the main line was not full, Client did not wish to have the sewer machine run. The only other step Nestor’s Service Center could have taken would have been to run the sewer camera to inspect the lines condition. Client did not want any other services or charges. In talking with the [redacted] Borough what was found at the property in [redacted] Pa was that the line was the old [redacted] fiber pipe used in pre 1972 that is no longer an acceptable material by building code due to the fact that it deteriorates and collapses. This would have only been found upon pipe inspection and then would have had to been dug up and replaced exactly as the borough did. In regards to customer satisfaction as well as overhead costs as a business we would be willing to make a partial refund to the client at hand in the amount of $360.00. This would be charging the client 1 minimum service call, mileage charge involved, and materials used.
