Adams Contractor Corp. Reviews (1)

Review: I hired Adam's Contractor Corp to do a siding job on my home in Lake Grove. [redacted] was the sales rep. He took down my siding, and left my house with tar paper alone since April ** when he told me he would start the job. After telling me he was going to start again and again it is now two months later and he has not come back. He had assured me several times he was coming and with no word on what is the status he has fell off the end of the earth, left no messages ect. I asked for a deposit for material which I gave him in way of a check left several messages and he has yet to return my call. I canceled him from even touching my house at this point in writing by certified letter and via email to his secretary [redacted] @ 3002 [redacted]. Her fax and phone # is [redacted]. the original address is [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of $ 7, 500. I was told that 1/* of the price was necessary for material to start the job. I had references , seen his work however due to whatever financial problems he is having I think he is a thieve. I know of one other person that he is ripping off also. I jsut want my refund- my house is exposed to the elements creating more damage which I will have to sue him for if I do not get my monies relatively soon.

Complain ID # [redacted]

We been hired by [redacted] and we been delayed was because her job was by her house insurance. We have to do step by step beginning with paper work for the esti-

mate ..then we started to work right away when we have the $7,500.00 that was the 1/3 of

the price but we been surprise when we saw that its gypsum sheathing wasn't in good condition to hold the siding, The existing house exterior gypsum sheathing have to be replace in order to install the siding but to complete this job we have to do an addition to the already estimated work claim that was for exterior insulation and siding and other renovations as indicated. It was in order to guarantee this work; this needs to be done replacing the exterior gypsum board. Due to the time and the use of this sheathing for the previous materials it will be necessary to have a secure base to hold the new insulation and the new siding.

[redacted] knew it but she wasn't impatient she calls many time and she was responded but when she call several time in the same day she was respond only ones because we didn't have nathen until the insurance responded. Meanwhile we been working with the insurance.

Finally they approved it and we continued working in her house. We finish the entire work but now she refuse to pay and now we are calling her to remind the job balance that is

$13,000.00 and e-mailing her the invoices

Thank you, [redacted]

Response:

My response to Revdex.com is correct, we did finish [redacted] job and finish all the extra job she wanted. We been in contact during the repair. Why she said that she never signed for 27,000.00 is because we agree with a amount that covered that we saw outside of the house but when we opened we saw that she needed a big job to the house. It had damages that we couldn't continue until the insurance gave us a green light to continue. Her insur ance paid to her but we didn't get that payments.

Now she hire an attorney because we sue her for the last amount that she refuse to pay.

[redacted] is her friend who stared with us, but we did her paper work for the insurance to pay her and we did only her portico and then she broke our agreement and brought another contractor who did her job. She didn't want to continue with us because her friend [redacted].

We are sending you the last invoice that she refuse to pay Thank you,

[redacted]:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Nothing this company says is true. I have been getting threatening letters from their attorney demanding payment from me or he will take me to court. After 12 harrassing letters my attorney responded telling him to stop harrassing me and we will glady meet hin in court.

None of this would of had to take place if [redacted] from ACC completed the job as they promised. I not only did not get the job completed but they created more damage and then they dissappeared and never spoke to me again .I made several attempts via phone and texts as I had previoulsy stated. [redacted] hired a bunch of kids to finalized the job and they have demanded money from me too. [redacted] is a liar and I will glady meet him in court to settle this dispute.

I will let my attorney ( [redacted] of Huntington New York) handle this at this time, not one phone call from ADAMS stating that they would complete the work and repair the damages, only threats. I dealt with [redacted] and the reason he is not responding is because HE has the $14, 500 that I gave him and that I have receipts for.

The job which we agreed upon was $14,500 plus the upgrade in plywood for $1,000. I have never received an invoice that makes any sense to me and still waiting for it for what is now 6 1/2 months. Where they got $ 27,000 for is ridiculous. I never did , or never would approve on an estimate for that amount. I would like to see that signed paperwork. I agreed to $14, 500 for the job plus the additional plywood. I gave him months to complete the job before his attorney started harrassing me. This is no longer something Better Business can handle except to warn others. I was told he was licensed and insured to find out that they are NOT.

As for my neighbor [redacted], that case is a separate case and she did what she had to do to stop the water pouring into her house because of a portica that they ( ACC) built ( which is why I canceled them buildling one at my house). They owe her almost 10,000 dollars.

Thank you for trying to correspond in this incidence but as you can see , I am no longer dealing with this unlicensed and unprofessional company.
