Adams Disaster and Restoration, Inc. Reviews (174)

About a month ago I had a slab leak in my kitchen. I had Adams come out because the plumber who I regularly use referred them to me due to the fact that he personally couldn't fix the problem all by himself. [redacted] was the technician that initially came out to set up the equipment and helped me file a claim with my insurance. They were able to get everything done pretty quick, and I am sure it could have been completed quicker if the insurance approved it faster. I was beyond happy with their job and I really appreciate their communication, promptness, and helpfulness. [redacted] and [redacted] did a great job calling me each day to schedule, make sure everything was going smoothly, and that I was happy, which really made me feel important and that the company truly cares about their customers. I do not have one bad thing to say about this company, their work, or their employees, this was a very pleasant experience considering the situation.

Adams had reached out to me via Home Advisor, regarding to a potential bathroom remodel due to mold that was forming in my home. I am very thankful as they asked me for my insurance info, and not ever filing a claim until now I had no idea what it all entailed, until I learned that I had mold coverage, I was about to pay cash for this project, not even thinking my insurance would be involved, however I knew it had to get done or else it would just get worse so I was not going to continue to neglect the issue. Adams helped me in so many ways and did such an amazing job, my bathroom is now finished, just in time for the holidays! Everything worked out as planned and everything was on schedule, I couldn't be more happy with my experience.

SO happy I chose Adams Disaster and Restoration! A friend recommended them to me after coming home to a flood in my house. Their response was quick and professional which was greatly appreciated in my unfortunate situation. Their staff was polite, respectful, and did a great job throughout the whole process. I will definitely refer this company to anyone in need of professional, quality service!

Review: The Adams Disaster & Restoration, Inc. Company's Shower replacement Saga

Adams Disaster & Restoration Company [redacted]

Thursday, July 9, 2015 - I posted a need for a contractor to do a home shower replacement job on an internet site. I received a call from the Service Manager at Walker Plumbing. After explaining to them that I needed a contractor to replace my shower and not a plumber, they referred me to a company they had worked with that did great work, i.e. Adams Disaster & Restoration of [redacted]. I called Adams and spoke with their General Manager, who indicated he would come to my home to do an inspection of my shower replacement on Friday morning.

Friday, July 10, 2015 - Adams Gen'l. Manager came to my home and after a brief inspection, he indicated he would have one of his service men come out the next day, Saturday, July 11, after 10:00 am, to tear out and remove the shower and tile. He said the cost for the removal job would be $400 (verbal contract) and that his man would be here right after lunch.

Saturday, July 11, 2015 - I next received a call from a man at my community gate saying he was here to look at my shower. Unfortunately he did not say he was from Adams and I turned him away thinking he was another of the several vendors responding to my earlier online request for a contractor. I then waited until around 3:00 pm and Adams had not showed up nor called. My wife called the Adams office and they said their man was here at 10:00 am and had been turned away. A lady at Adams informed my wife they couldn't come until Tuesday, July 14th and the would call in advance. I then called Adams' office and spoke with the same lady. I apologized for sending their man away earlier and asked when they could come. She said they could come to remove the shower Monday, July 13th between 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm.

Sunday, July 12, 2015 - Having nothing to do, I personally removed the shower glass, glass door, safety bars, tile edging along the wall, and other shower appurtenances. All that was left for the Adams man to remove was the shower base/tub and ceramic tile on two walls.

Monday, July 13, 2015 - 2:00 pm came and went and no Adams man had shown up. I called the Adams office and they indicated their removal serviceman would be a little late. Adams' serviceman finally showed up shortly after 4:00 pm. He proceeded to remove most of the wall tile with hammer and chisel along with about 4 sq. ft. of batten and 8 sq. ft. of disintegrated wall board. At about 5:30 pm, He left and went to [redacted] to buy several 5 gallon plastic pails to put the broken tile and debris in since he only had a few plastic trash bags on his truck. He returned about 45 minutes later and finished the job, cleaned up and removed the debris, removed the shower tub/base, plugged in an air, I think it was a purifier, and left shortly after 7:00 pm. He said Adams' General Manager would be out with him the next morning, Tuesday, July 14th. I paid him by personal check the $400, and got a receipt before he left.

Tuesday, August 11, 2015 - Adams' customer service and communication since July 13th, has been terrible and I decided after sever phone calls with them NOT to have them do the job. Now Adams is calling me saying the job they quoted and did for $400 is $1000+. They have done nothing since July 13! This is a total scam on Adams part I believe because I have not given them the total job.Desired Settlement: The original quoted cost for shower removal was done, completed and paid for. I want no further contact and threats that I owe them any money!

To Whom It May Concern, his letter is in reference to complaint ID# [redacted]. Adams Disaster and Restoration went to [redacted] home to look over the damage of the shower.Adams informed [redacted], that just to demo the shower would be around $400.00 and could actually be more depending on if there was more damage than what was visible to the eye. [redacted] had stated that he was concerned about mold. Adams did not know if there was mold growth until we could see it. Adams estimate for 400.00 was just for the demo. It was not for mold cleanup. Once the tile was being taken off, Adams could see the mold growth. Adams told [redacted] that there was mold growth and he was aware and approved it to be taken care of. His insurance would not cover mold and or covered the shower because it was considered a maintenance issue. Adams would not have proceeded if [redacted] had asked us not to. Adams follows Standard procedures that are required to do our job correctly. Adams did not just do this job without approval. Adams added an air scrubber because of the mold growth. Anytime there is mold there is an air scrubber put on the job. This is especially done for health reasons and mostly when there are small children and elderly. Again, [redacted] knew what we were doing. It helps when there is insurance coverage, because the cost of using this equipment is not cheap. Adams billed [redacted] a fair price. [redacted] knew what was being done. [redacted] did give us a check down for the 400.00 that he knew he would owe.[redacted] also stated that he did not hire Adams to do the complete job. This is correct. Adams was only hired to do the demo and mold growth. Adams was notasked to do the rebuild. Adams was under the impression that [redacted] did not want to pay for the work that had been done and he was not going to have us dothe rebuild. Adams considered our job as completed. Adams can assure [redacted] that we are not a scam. We have been in business for several years. We have been with the Revdex.com for several years, also, and with an A+ rating. We have an exceptionally large volume of work. There are a lot of people who use our services because they trust us. We go by Industry Standards and use Insurance pricing and Insurance backs our jobs. Adams takes great pride in what we do and go the extra to make sure our customers are taken care of. Adams is sorry, that [redacted] feels the way he does. Our head person was who talked to [redacted] and explained the amount and process. We were up front andhonest with him. We were told that [redacted] did understand and agree to the work we did. We contacted [redacted], but he told us he did not want to talk to usand hung up. Adams would be happy to talk with him if he changes his mind.Adams is sorry about [redacted] feelings and misunderstanding. He is welcome to call us if he would like.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The following are my comments to Adams response to my complaint. I agree that the $400 was the original cost to remove the whole shower, however, I removed the shower appurtenences and all glass including the door and shower head, etc. The agreement was that Adams would clean up any mold and chemically treat any mold growth, which cost would be included in their estimate to install a new shower. They removed the 2 walls of tile and partially removed the wallboard. This took less than 2 hours of labor. They did not do any mold treatment. They then plugged in an antiquated "air scrubber" (nothing more than a simplified fan/shop vac assembly to remove any moisture in the room) and did not come back the next day to remove the "air scrubber." They finally showed up in 3 days, unplugged it and removed it and left. They did nothing other than remove the "air scrubber." That is they did not do anything to treat the mold. Running the "air scrubber" for 3 days amounts to no more than leaving a standard vacuum cleaner running. Not only that, they used my electricity for 3 days to run their old "air scrubber." A week+ later I had to call them to ask where their estimate to finish the job was and they said it was sent to someone else. In response to my telephone call, they emailed the estimate, which I advised them was incorrect as it included a bathtub replacement which I did not want. They revised and re-sent the estimate via email to me the same day. This amounted to an approximate $1500 reduction from around $4900 to $3500 for the balance of the job, including the chemical mold treatment. Shortly after receiving their revised estimate, I received a phone call from Adams indicating I owed them $700 more for the work they had done in removing the shower. Basically they told me that the $700 was for the running of the "air scrubber" for 3 days. I told Adams that the $400 was full payment for their work since I had removed the shower as mentioned above. So now they want an additional $700 for running a 110Volt 1/4 HP motor for 3 days on my electricity. As for Adams' response, they were unreliable (left me hanging for a week+ after the initial job, they were not up front with me, nor honest in their process, complaint response, or dealings in this matter. The $400 was more than compensatory for the work they did. Their response really has NOT answered my complaint that they wish me to pay an additional $700 for a job for which they already have been more than fully paid $400 for. Their "Adams is sorry..." comment about my misunderstanding is fully unfounded. I have a cancelled check and receipt from them for $400.00 for the work they did. That is my understanding! My shower still sits as they left it and I have no plans to contact them and also do not plan to have them finish the job. I'm also sure they do not wish to reimburse me for my electricity that they used to run their "air scrubber!"Regards,[redacted]

Response:

This letter is in reference to complaint ID# [redacted]. The response from [redacted] has been reviewed by Adams. [redacted], said, that our response to his complaint was not trust worthy, that we were not upfront from the beginning or honest in our process and complaint response. Adams totally disagrees! It was an owner who came to his home ... we do not lie or misrepresent our company! We would not be in business or have an A+ rating if this were the case. [redacted] was told upfront that just the demo would be $400.00 and more if there was more damage than is visible to the eye. [redacted] even figured there would be mold. [redacted] agreed to the treatment of the mold and took full responsibility. Adams did clean up mold and did set an air scrubber. [redacted] insurance would not have covered the procedure due to mold and neglect of the shower. Adams gave [redacted] a fair price. There are standard procedures that we follow and make sure our job is done properly. We followed the procedures and [redacted] knew and gave permission to do the work. We did not include the mold treatment to be included with the repairs of the shower. The demo and repairs are two separate billings. We first bill for the demo and cleanup, which includes the mold and air scrubber. This is normal procedure with us. If the customer wants us to do the repairs we send an estimator. The estimator did go out to give an estimate and did revise the estimate to the wishes of the customer. If we had done the repairs we would have billed just the repairs separate. [redacted] was wrong in stating we would bill the mold with repairs.[redacted] did pay the 400.00 for the demo and that is what we told him it would be unless we found mold. Now that we have treated the mold, [redacted] does not want to pay for our services. [redacted] is mocking our equipment and comparing the air scrubber to an old fan/shop vac. This piece of equipment is expensive and nothing like a shop vac. We have pictures to prove what the equipment looks like and any Restoration company knows exactly that it is not a shop vac. This piece of equipment runs around $180.00 a day and is set for 72 hours. [redacted] is correct ... we left the air scrubber for 3 days, the amount of time needed to complete the job. [redacted] does not realize that our time, gas, are factors included in our services. [redacted] claims we used his electricity to run our old air scrubber. It takes verylittle to run an air scrubber.[redacted] stated again, that we ask for the remainder of the money owed for the demo and mold. Yes, we did, because he owed it. He agreed to pay for the extra work that we had to do. The 400.00 was only for demo, not mold. We may not have taken a door off, but we did the demo and mold cleaning and the air scrubber was used. He did agree to this being done. Now he does not want to pay for services he agreed to. [redacted] decided what he wanted to pay and has decided what he feels is fair .... not what was agreed to.Adams did not do repairs for [redacted]. We did do an estimate for him. We do not do any repairs if we have not been paid for services previously rendered. We asked for the remainder he owed. We would have been happy to do his repairs had he paid for the services we had done. [redacted], claims, that Adams left him with hisshower not finished and he has no plans of contacting us. Adams did not leave [redacted] with his shower not finished. [redacted] never hired us to do his repairs. This was not Adams fault.Again, Adams' owner was upfront and did explain the procedure to [redacted] and he agreed. Adams Restoration does not lie to customers. We have a lot of work and have worked hard to help our customers. Adams goes the extra mile for its customers. [redacted] may not feel about us in that manner, but we know what we do for our customers. It is very unfortunate that a customer will go to this length to try and discredit a good company. Adams is not asking for the remainder that is owed.Adams is sorry that we have had a customer like this. Adams only wants the best for our customers. Adams works with Insurance companies, Real Estate companies, and many others, because they trust us and know we are honest.[redacted] account will be closed out. Adams is sorry for this unfortunate situation. Adams is proud of the work we do and will strive to do the best possible. Adams appreciates our customers and are extremely happy to be of service.Adams Disaster and Restoration

Review: A month ago we started working with Adam's restoration because we had a water bubble in our ceiling. They removed the affected area. They then failed to show up for 2 scheduled appointments to check and make sure that the area was dried out. My husband and I had to leave work early thus missing out on our pay.

They then finally showed up and gave us the go ahead to get the rebuild started. They said that someone would call to schedule that. I didn't hear from someone for nearly a week and called. They said they needed paperwork from us which I would have given right away if I had known.

We then scheduled the rebuild and my husband took off a half a day of work to be there. They never showed up. We then rescheduled again for the following week on a Saturday so that we wouldn't miss out on work and again was stood up by stupid excuses. We paid our $1000 deductible to them and during this time they were also calling multiple times asking for the rest of the payment even though they hadn't done the job at all.Desired Settlement: First and foremost we want them to come and finish the job. And do so at a time that is promised and so my husband and I don't miss out on work.

Because of the missed work hours we want a refund for the hours that we have missed from our own jobs.

I am responding to the complaint [redacted] from [redacted]. We have been in contact with [redacted] and have been trying to help her get everything covered by her insurance. I did not know there were any issues before receiving this complaint. We always work with our customers and want to make sure they are taken care of. We are not a small company and are extremely busy and it is impossible to keep up with everyone. We always respond and address our customer’s needs. We use an insurance program to bill so that our customers get insurance prices which are fair. I know that appointments were one of the complaints. We always try to make our appointments on time, but in this industry there can be delays. Our main goal is to respond as quickly as possible to start the dry out process. It is always important, because the sooner we start the drying process it helps to prevent mold. It keeps our customers from getting mold and spending more money. There can be times that traffic is an issue or we get stuck on a job longer. If we get new job calls we have to respond to them and can get tied up, in which we have no control. Sometimes we have to reschedule. We usually make our appointments. Once the water mitigation is completed we have procedures that we follow. Our technicians let the customer know that they can call us or we will call them to schedule the repairs. We have to do new charts for repairs and check with the insurance for approval before doing most repairs. Again, we do this so that we know what is covered by the insurance and the customer is not stuck paying out of pocket. Sometimes we end up waiting on insurance or testing and that is something we cannot control. There are jobs that can be started right away, but there are those that we have to wait for insurance or paperwork. Everyone wants their jobs to be completed right away and we try to schedule as soon as possible.

We are a 24/7 company and always try to work around our customers schedules. We work after hours and weekends and will make arrangements for after the customers work day. We were not trying to make stupid excuses for our repairman that did not make it. That Saturday, our recon guy’s car broke down. Our office called to let them know and we scheduled another person for the next day. This was something that was out of our control, but we did make sure someone was there on Sunday. We did try to help and get them taken care of. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

We usually bill the water mitigation and send it to the insurance for payment. We do this as a courtesy for our customers so the money doesn’t come out of pocket. A few weeks later we received the payment from the insurance. But with repairs, the insurance usually pays the customer and the customer pays us. We always collect the deductible up front because that is what comes out of the customer’s pocket. The accounting department calls the customer to receive the final payment. We know that in most cases the customer has been paid and want to collect what is owed. There are some accounts that are done in segments when dealing with banks. On large jobs it is also paid in segments and the job is finalized. It is not unusual to try and collect the money. Our accounting department does not always know when a job is completed, just that there is an open invoice. We do have a new employee in our accounting department and they may not have realized the customer had been called before.

I have kept in touch with our recon department to make sure Mrs. [redacted] is being taken care of. It is important to us that are customers are happy. This is a field in which we see people with such a mess from damage and know it is hard for them. We are here to help. We honestly care about our customers and will do what we can for them. I hope this helps Mrs. [redacted] to understand a little better and to know we are here to help. We appreciate her allowing us to work for her. I want her to know that if she has any questions to please contact me…[redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

After talking with [redacted] at Adams she said that they will take off a couple hundred dollars for the amount of time missed from work this is helpful.

I was told by Adams that if I gave them $1000 for materials they would start on Tuesday well Tuesday I got a call on my answer machine they were over booked and would not be out till Monday, I need to get back home to take care of my own farm, the owner is in the hospital and we are just trying to help out We will see if they show up Monday but I am not holding my breath

I used this company when I had terrible flood in my bathroom. I was referred by a friend and I have to say I had the best experience. Shane came and looked at the damage, and assured they could fix the damage in a timely manner. He kept his word and my bathroom looks as nice. I would recommend this company to my family and I will be using them again!

I'm so thankful I used Adams Disaster and Restoration! My husband and I had our home for sale with an open house coming up in one week. Then the unthinkable happened and our toilet leaked out and flooded our entire living room and bedroom while we were out that evening. So at midnight I called to get help, never dreaming I could get such a fast response. They sent a worker right out for us. He explained to us what all he would be doing. He got the water up, then set up fans and dehumidifiers. They came back and checked on things and within 4 days we were set to go. They did everything to the T! They worked with our insurance company, explained everything, were very courteous and we felt very reasonably priced. Actually, they were priceless! Because without them we wouldn't have had our home ready in time? And the best part....it sold!!!!! So... thank you...thank you...thank you...Adams Disaster and Restoration!!! I highly recommend you!!

After the last rainstorm that had occurred there were multiple leaks that I had found in the roof due to the water damage it had created inside my new rental home. Unfortunately, I had stayed at my friend’s house because of all the Super Bowl and Waste Management events going on in town and we have plans. When I came home Monday morning there as puddles of water in my home, I personally didn’t think it was a big deal because its only water, but my boyfriend insisted that I get it taken care of by professionals. I had gone online and found Adams D&R and I called their office number and they had one of their technicians out to my house within 30 minutes. They were very kind and explained everything that was going on to the actual homeowner over the phone and she filed a claim with her insurance. I was very pleased with how easy they made it because I was very nervous due to the fact that I am not the actual homeowner so I had no clue what was going to happen or how to handle it. But Adams did a great job drying it out, all that needs to happen next is new carpet placed in my family room. Being a younger girl it’s a little scary having men that you don’t know in your home, however they were all very kind and made me feel comfortable. I am excited for the finish product and for my home for now to be put back together.

Horrible company. We had a category 3 ( dirty sewage water) leak and Adams came to clean up and dry the area. Problem is they didn't remove the carpet that was affected by the leak. Between my husband and myself we made a dozen calls to Adams to come and finish the job by removing the carpet. All we got was, "we'll replace it once we come to do the remodel". We repeatedly told them we were not having them do the remodel so they left the category 3 stained carpet for us to take care of. Totally and completely appalled.

I have never met such a friendly team in the home repair industry! Adams group of employees helped me get my house up and running in no time, after my children's bathroom had flooded my entire hallway. After the plumber had came out and explained to me about Adams Disaster & Restoration I was a little hesitant because I didn't know what to expect, however once the tech arrived to my house he calmed me down and explained to me what actions we need to take next in order to fix the situation, and even talked it through to my insurance company, making the whole process so much easier for me. Only having two toilets in my house with four kids is already rough, and with one not working seemed like it would be a nightmare, however Adams saved the day and was able to get the second bathroom and the flooring in my hallway repaired in no time! I was very pleased with my experience with Adams and I want to thank them again for all their hard work, honesty, and helpfulness. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

While I was moving into my new home I had ordered new appliances as well. As they were getting installed we had noticed that there was what we thought was to be mold present when we pulled out the old dishwasher. I was rather concerned because there was a lot of black present and there was a funky odor. I had posted a request on thumbtack for a quote. I got a call moments later from Adams stating that they could come out and as the issue for free in an hour. Once they looked at it they knew right away that it was mold, and had the mold contained and removed properly. They did a great job, and I would definitely recommend their services and would use the with any other problems that may happen at my home in the future.

Called Adams Restoration for a water leak and was immediately impressed with the fast response and prompt service. The team was very helpful, professional and sensitive to my concerns and completed the job in a short couple of days. Everything was cleaned up and put back together even better than it was before! If you're looking for quality service from the very best, then I highly recommend Adams restoration! Ten star quality, service, and value!

When my hot water heater gave out and flooded my whole garage and backed into my kitchen I was referred by my plumber to use Adams Disaster & Restoration to repair the water damage that it had created. One of the techs made it out to my house within 20 minutes of my call, he was extremely polite and knowledgable in regards to what needed to happen in order to get my home back in one piece. I am truly glad that they were the restoration company that I used because I feel that they were extremely trustworthy, honest, and reliable. Everything ran smoothly and I really appreciate their hard work, communication, and how fast they were able to repair all the damage the water had created. Thanks again.

Adams was recommended to me by a plumber from my home warranty company, who literally dialed the number handed me the phone and then proceeded to tell me his shop vac was not enough to clean up the mess and I had to get these guys. The technician that came out was overly pushy, and not only recommended pulling out the entire carpet but also tearing out all my drywall and replacing the bathroom vanity and possibly the outside block wall. Every time I walked out of the room to check on the plumber, the tech tried to get my wife to sign the papers and agree for him to do the work. As with other reviews he claimed the insurance company would take care of it all and I would just be responsible for the deductible. I wouldn't go with the company or consider them again, they are overly pushy, they want to start work right away on the parts that you can't change like not pulling back the carpet but tearing it out.instead of drying up about 10 square foot area of carpet it sounded like they wanted to remodel my entire master suite.

I have a great experience with Adams Disaster & Restoration. I had some water damage in bathroom the other day when I got home from work, I didn't know what the cause was, but I did know that it was coming from my toilet somehow. It turns out that when I got new toilets at my home about a year ago, the plumber I hired to install them, which I choose to keep anonymous, never set wax rings, per the plumbing company I called to come out to my property after I discovered the water damage, [redacted], they were great as well. Adams came out to my property at a pretty late hour, which I was pretty impressed with, the tech Alex was very knowledgable, as well as the rest of the techs that came to my property for the monitors, and they were very helpful and honest. We decided not to go through the insurance, due to the damage being rather minimal, and a lot of the water from the toilet happened to be on just the tile mainly, so therefor it wasn't necessary for me to file a claim, so they gave me a pretty reasonable cash price, they also worked with me in regards to my bill, and gave me the option of making payment plans witch was very helpful

Review: Adams has refused to perform the services they were contracted for. This should have been a 45 day completion time frame and it has been over 7 months. The little bit of work that has been done is incomplete and unsatisfactory. Adams has refused to return phone calls and has knowingly failed to complete work. We have been without the use of the basic necessities to cook or clean as we are absent sink or stove because Adams has knowingly failed to even start repairs. We have documentation from American Family who is our insurance company, emails and phone records as well as recorded telephone conversations from Adams that they have been at fault and still they have failed to complete the job and and have caused undo hardship on us because of their failure to even start the work required for the restoration project. I have had a face to face meeting with Topaz M[redacted] who is the manager of the field supervisors and Cindy who is one of the owners and they have apologized to me for the undo burden that has been placed on me and once again months have went by without any work being performed. A cabinet maker came out to finish the work that he started and the work that has been performed is unsatisfactory and unacceptable to us. Adams has shown a deliberate pattern of abuse to us as homeowners and have caused undo stress to us by refusing to perform the job they were contracted to do and they are liable for making us as homeowners whole. Work that was in process will need to be subcontracted with other vendors to repair the work that was started and not completed. There is an person in the house who is diabetic and requires a special menu and has had to cook in a skillet in the bathroom to maintain her health. With this repeated pattern of abuse to us as homeowners we feel that any services that Adams would attempt to perform from this point forward would not be done to our satisfaction. We are filing with the Revdex.com, Yelp, the ROC and small claims court to seek reliefDesired Settlement: At this point in time it has become increasingly evident that Adams Restoration has no intentions of honoring their commitment to the contract that was entered into with [redacted] and [redacted] I have gone on record asking [redacted] and [redacted] on how we are to proceed with the restoration to my property. Adams Restoration has received funds of $6666.45 USD and as of to date there is no work completed. I have asked Topaz M[redacted] of Adams Restoration to give me a break down of what work that they believe has been completed and how much of the funds have been accounted for and she has failed to comply. Adams said that I am under budget and I want to know how much of the original deposit is remaining. I WANT MY FULL DEPOSIT REFUNDED TO ME AND ALL OF THE ADDITIONAL EXPENSES THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED BE REFUNDED TO ME BY ADAMS AS WELL. ADAMS HAS DISPLAYED A PATTERN OF ABUSE TO US AND HAS CAUSED UNDO HARDSHIP ON US AND AS A RESULT ARE LIABLE FOR

I am responding to this complaint. Adams is working with this customer to address any issues. Adams will respond to any information needed regarding this complaint. I appreciate your time. Thanks,Cindy

On Christmas, out of all the days of the year, I got a call from the tenant, who is occupying one of my rental properties in Scottsdale, saying that there was about three inches of water throughout the entire condo unit. Let’s just say this wasn’t the best Christmas gift I have received this year, however I wanted to thank Adams Disaster and Restoration for coming out to start the process of getting this fix, especially Alex and Steel who came out to my condo right away on Christmas day for many hours, which they should have been spending celebrating the holiday with friends and family. They did a great job, they called me as soon as they got to the property and inspected the issue, they sent me pictures and videos of the damage, and started the “dry out” process while helping me file a claim. I thought for sure I was going to have to leave my family and head over to figure out what we were going to due, however they were able to handle it without me being there, making the whole ordeal effortless on my end. We are still in the “dry out” process, however I want to thank Adams for getting the job going on Christmas, as the 2 other companies I called prior to Adams weren’t able to come out to the property until the next day, due to it being a holiday. Adams has been very professional, great at communicating with me as to what’s been going on, as well as taking care of my tenant by getting him a hotel room, so he didn’t have to spend the night in a flooded condo. Looks like third time is a charm.

Review: Adams D&R was contracted to repair water-damaged walls, floor and ceiling in my home. Despite taking a good faith deposit of $875, they completed about $700 worth of work while causing $575 damage to my home.Desired Settlement: A refund of $745 to pay for the replacement of damaged/destroyed furnishings: $375 for a bathroom vanity, $240 for bathroom fixtures, and $40 for molding.

When the top floor of my house flooded I had called my insurance company and they had sent out a restoration company to my house. The plumber that was at my house prior to my call had left me an Adams Disaster & Restoration business card and told me to call them because they would take good care of me. I had received a call from [redacted], their marketing director, and had informed her that I already had a company on their way out. Three days later I had called [redacted], the marketing director for Adams, and she had sent one of their techs to my house moments after our conversation because I had to fire the restoration company that I had first chosen to use because they were a NIGHTMARE, nothing got done, there was no communication, the company was very unprofessional. Adams on the other hand was the complete opposite, the difference in quality between the two was day and night. By their knowledge, attire, professionalism, trucks, etc. I am very impressed and I am even having them work on other remodels in my house because I am so thrilled with their work.
