Adams were called to our home by a plumber after a toilet overflow. Adams believed all the tile had to be removed due to water seeping under the tile(absolutely not true), and overcharged for use of their driers. When I talked to them about reducing their bill for the drying services, they threatened to place a lien on our home.

NEVER AGAIN AND BE WARNED

I had a great experience with Adams D & R. I felt that they were honest, helpful, and fixed the water damage at my property properly. I felt very comfortable with this company in my home, which also made the whole situation 100% easier. I would defiantly use this company again if I ever have any sort of water damage at my property again.

After a tenant of mine moved out, the smell in my rental property was TERRIBLE. They did not have animals and did not smoke, I think it was part of their cooking and candles that they would burn. After 3 years of occupying my home and they left the odor just lingered. We got the house professionally cleaned, re-did the carpet and painted the walls, the odor was still there.

I finally Google'd Odor Removal and found Adams D&R, I was not sure if they could do that but I called and received great customer service from a rep named [redacted] and he sent a tech out for a free estimate.

The tech was professional, set a place mat in front of my door and put on clean booty's to enter my home. That was cool since it was a rental I wouldn't of minded the shoes and also he was there to just see if they could do anything with the smell. None the less it was appreciated.

After walking the interior property he said he would use an ozone machine to eliminate the smell, told me it was like a vacuum and would take a couple hours but it also could take a day or so since we were doing multiple rooms.

We set up an appointment, when they came back out, it only took that day (8 hours) the home had to be completely un occupied (which was easy since it was a rental)

But they did it! my home was completely odor free and the service was great! I would recommend them to anyone that does real estate, rentals or property managements!

It is my opinion that this company works with at least one plumber who tips them off if you have homeowners insurance. We had a plumber chosen for us through our homeowners warranty to unclog a drain from our laundry room. He snaked it successfully but was adamant about having his 'guys' come over to check out if there was any water damage done from it overflowing twice. My fiance politely declined because it was a newly built wall, however, he kept forcing the issue and kept saying its free, it's covered by your insurance. When Shane A[redacted], [redacted] showed up, he put a small device on the wall that detects moisture and it beeped. It beeped because it detected the pipe that goes through the wall that the washing machine empties out into and it overflowed that morning, hence, it's moist. This was explained to him by my fiance and his answer was it has to be taken care of now because if the insurance company finds out you put this off they won't cover you later. He then asked if she would like to start a claim, it covered by your insurance. She said yes thinking they were going to look for possible damage caused by the water and Shane quickly left and another young man showed up with a massive device on wheels and set it in the middle of the kitchen near the wall to the laundry room, duct taped the cord across the floor and turned it on. He said it sucks all the moisture out of the air in the house and it should dry out the wall in three days. Three days. Holes can be drilled for that in a lot less time. He then taped up the laundry room door with duct tape and plastic to keep debris from coming out. Huh? There is a door on the hinges that works. Mind you, as this is going on my fiance keeps asking him why he's doing these things and he says they have to check for asbestos. All this for a pipe that has already been unclogged? So I get home at this point and ask him how much is this going to cost and he said I don't know, your deductible is $1000. I ask again, how much is this going to cost if I did not have insurance and he shrugged and he said $1000. So I have to pay $1000 for something that I don't need? I told them to cancel and leave. I talked to the insurance company and although the agent did not specifically say, it sounded like they have had issues with them in the past. She said often times plumbers get kickbacks from restoration companies to add unnecessary work that the insurance company pays for. This restoration guy even said they will have to tear up the concrete foundation to find the broken pipe that the plumber had already fixed. We also told everyone that mold and asbestos had been checked for 5 months ago when we bought the house and it only leaked twice (we live in a very dry Arizona). It took us being rather forceful to have this job cancelled. The insurance agent also said asbestos tests are not covered. So they lied or are truly not good business people. I understand about upselling in business, but everything about this said scam and the insurance company agent agreed with me, she cancelled it with no problems.

Within in minutes of posting my problem, I received a response and phone call. They were available immediately but 100% worked around my schedule to set up an assessment. Very professional and quick to give me an estimate and give a timeline for completion. Very straight forward and I highly recommend them for going out of their way to help me out.

I have never had a company that was willing to jump through hoops to make sure my home was put back to normal again. The pluming company, or I should say the plumber, that had referred me to this restoration company was a complete nightmare! Due to many issues I had with him I no longer wanted him to continue on the repair so I kicked him off, and I was under the impression that Adams was affiliated with them, however after talking to their project manager that was working on my property, I learned that they weren't, that the company only refers them work when needed and, that was there only tie. Adams d and r had another plumber from a different company come out to repair the plumbing that was needed that day and he was great! Adams d and r even took care of the plumbing costs for me, due to how upset I was with the first plumber, which had absolutely nothing to do with them. They also did a great job on their part and at end of the process my tears changed from tears of stress to tears of happiness. I really appreciate every one of you who took part in the process of restoring my home, and I want it to be recognized, you really handled everything in a classy manner and your outcome was fabulous, my bathroom turned out beautiful.

I never take the time to write reviews on companies and their services, whether it be good or bad, however after the amazing experience I had with Adams Disaster and Restoration I wanted to express and acknowledge how blessed I was to happen to come across this company that fixed my at home emergency.

While I was out of town my house sitter called me at 5:30 AM explaining to me that my guesthouse was completely flooded due to a toilet leak, and sent me pictures of the damage. The second I heard about the flood and saw the pictures I was terrified and frustrated, especially because I was out of town and due to the amount of damage that I knew it caused to my furniture, and flooring. I called a few restoration companies in Arizona that I found online. Adams was the first to be able to answer my call and send a tech out within less than an hour.

From start to finish I can only say positive things about this company and its employees. From their office receptionist, to their techs that came out to my home, I can say that I have never met such honest, reliable, understanding, professional, and kind employees. They were able to work with my insurance, without any issues, and gave me a few different options as to how I wanted to go about restoring my guesthouse. They gave me great detail as to what steps needed to take place and gave me a better understanding and explanation as to what has to occur in order to properly fix what the flood had destroyed.

At the end of the job Adams team was able to get my guesthouse looking as if nothing had ever happened, in a and timely manner, which was extremely important due to my family coming into town and they were occupying my guesthouse days after the flood had occurred. The owner even stopped by the house after the job was completed to do a walk through to make sure everything was repaired properly, which made me feel as if the company truly cares about its customers and their work.

I highly recommend Adams Disaster and Restoration! Adams truly has a great staff/team, which is extremely hard to find, especially in this type of industry, so I just want to thank them for their honesty, professionalism, and hard work! Thank you! I give this company ten stars and I believe that anyone that uses this company will be extremely satisfied!

Review: Back in October 2013 I hired Adam's Disaster and Restoration, Inc. to repair and restore water damage to my garage that was caused by a water heater leak. When I first met with their technician [redacted], it was really difficult to ascertain an estimate amount from him and even a timeline as to when the job would be completed by, which should have tipped me off to look elsewhere. When I called the actual business and requested an official estimate, they could not provide me with one. It was only after the fact that I received a bill. Because I was in a panic state, I just went ahead and hired them, but only after [redacted] assured me that I would be given a certificate of mold remediation and water damage restoration from Adam's after the job was completed. They were really slow about getting the work done and after urging them to complete the job, they sent a private contractor. The contractor did a good job and I am satisfied with the final product, even though it took much longer than anticipated. My main compliant, however is that I still have not received the certificate of mold remediation and water damage restoration that I was promised. I have contacted Adam's numerous times through their general email and speaking with their Billing Coordinator, [redacted]. Every time I have inquired about my certificate, I have been told that their printer is out of order. I find it hard to believe that their printer has not been functioning this whole time since November. I do get a response back every time from [redacted] whenever I reach out (which I appreciate) and I understand that it is not her purview, as she is in the billing dept, however when I ask who I can complain to I do not get a response back, but she offers to find out and it always seems to default back to the printer issue or that the office was backed up. I have also tried to suggest to [redacted] that I am more than happy to receive an electronic copy if printing is such a problem. All I ask is that I be given the certificate that was promised to me. I have been contacting Adam's since November for this certificate. I am putting my house on the market and I would like to present this certificate to my real estate agent and future buyers to assure that I have taken the proper measures to prevent any mold and fix all water damager, as I believe that Adam's provided this service.

The other recommendation I would make is that they train their technicians/office staff to be able to provide written estimates and timelines for specific projects, otherwise it seems shady. I understand that they may have lots of business but they should also be honest enough to their customers to inform them that the job may take 2-3 weeks to complete so that the customer can go elsewhere if they want something done sooner.

I feel like I have been very patient and reasonable with Adam's through my emails. My insurance and I have paid them in full for all rendered services. I believe it is only fair that they hold up their end of the agreement by providing me this certificate, which validates the legitimacy of their services.Desired Settlement: A signed Certificate of mold remediation (MDR-1) and water damage restoration (WDR-1) for my property.

To Whom It May Concern:

They were called to mitigate a water leak in our home. They removed kitchen cabinets that were not even damaged by the water leak. They removed the cabinets and threw them away so the cabinet maker was not able to use the old cabinets. Since the cabinets were 15 years old, the cabinets could not be matched. This increased the cost of our insurance claim. If they had removed the cabinets in whole instead of breaking them apart (which was not necessary to remove them), we would have been able to re-use the cabinets that should not have been removed in the first place. Needless to say we did not use them to do the remodeling . When we called to see if they had any parts of the cabinets they should not have removed, their office manager was rude and accuseed us of throwing them away. Stay away from this contractor!

I had a toilet leak that happened 2.5 months ago. The plumber said there may be water damage and mold in the walls so he referred Adams to my home. Since day 1, they have been a pain to deal with. They have missed several scheduled appointments, therefore causing me to lose out on work and pay. Then, not only after missing appointments, they never called to follow up to reschedule. I always had to call several times a day to get an answer. It seems that communication in the company doesnt exist between employees. It took over a month to finally get my bathroom completely back up and running because they came and took it apart and then with them missing several appointments, thats why it took so long. My bathroom was finally working and not even 2 weeks later was my sink leaking bc the tech must have not installed something right. So they came and tore out the cabinets again and as I'm writing this complaint, I'm still waiting on a call to see when they are going to come and put in the new cabinet. It has been extremely frustrating dealing with this company. I have a household of 6 people, including a newborn, and only 2 bathrooms so you can imagine how inconvenient this has been. I've read reviews and the fact that "this is not a small company" is not a good enough excuse on how the business is ran. I would never recommend Adams to anyone, unless they have 3 months to sit around and waste.

Adams came out when the skin under my kitchen had leaked for a while and there was clearly signs of mold. They were able to get me a good deal on it and the process went smooth. I was satisfied with their services and learned that they even do remodeling, so I had them remodel my entire kitchen with new cabinets and flooring and the process went just as smooth as the time and before. I was very pleased and surprised with the outcome, my kitchen looks completely different and unique, not so out dated. I was very pleased with their work.

Many thanks to Adams Disaster and Restoration! They were highly recommended to me after coming home to a flood in my house, and their service was very prompt and greatly appreciated. Staff was very polite, and they did a great job throughout the whole process. I will definitely refer this company to anyone in need of professional, quality service! :)

Adams Disaster and Restoration thanks again for taking care of my water leak in a timely and professional manner. I would recommend this company to anyone. thanks again [redacted]

Review: My Mother filed a homeowners claim with her insurance company. She chose Adam's D & R to do the dryout and then to put in new cabinets after her others were destroyed. After being patient for MANY months, she is still without a complete job. This happened back in March and there has been MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME to get this job completed. At first we were told that we were waiting for a man from Tucson to come put the countertops on the cabinets. Now, we just haven't heard back. After sending them a letter and discussing this several times, the money has all been paid to them, yet she has no countertops or kitchen sink. They disconnected the temporary sink weeks ago when they put the cabinets in. So she has been washing dishes in the bathtub on her hands and knees. My sister and 2 year old niece live with her and it has been an extreme problem. I am very disappointed in the treatment and service my mother has received. Due to the insurance company making a mistake and sending her the checks first, there was a small delay in them receiving their money, but that was quickly resolved in the hopes that she would have a complete kitchen. My wedding is coming up in a couple weeks and they PROMISED her that her house would be fixed as we have company coming in from out of town.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome would be for them to finish the job they were hired to do. It would be nice if they were to reimburse her for some of the money she lost while trying to eat out and take care of my niece with no kitchen sink, no dishwasher, etc. It is extremely hard to even use the oven because there is no place to put anything!

I work for a property management company, and recently one of our complexes had an issue with the supply line breaking a few weekends ago, and unfortunately a few units ended up getting damaged due to the water. Adams had stopped by our offices in the past, marketing their company and providing us with information as to what services they provide and how they can help us when situations like this occur. We decided to give them the opportunity to take on this job. They really proved themselves and the process thus far has been extremely smooth, and they have been knocking the work out quickly. I was very impressed because they are not dealing with just one occupant; they are dealing with multiple, and every single one of them has had not an issue or anything bad to say. The owner also stops by many times throughout the week to make sure everything is going as planned, which I also thought was very personable and professional, and the technicians do a great job cleaning up everything outside, and keeping their vehicles and equipment organized and out of the way. Great job so far!

Adams disaster & restoration did a great job fixing my laundry room and remodeling it after it was destroyed by my hot water heater leaking while I was out of town for the holidays. [redacted] was the tech that came out to my home and he was very kind, wasn't pushy, and explained the entire process to me. He did a great job and made me feel very comfortable with doing business with him and Adams (it can be scary having people that you don't know enter your home). [redacted], did a great job with the reconstruction as well, very sweet man, and his work was very precise and it turned out great. I was very happy with the entire process and with this company. They did a great job and I greatly appreciate their work and communication.

Review: they took our deductible of 1000.00 left our bathroom a mess promised a refund for the amount of 53.27 we have called several times to no avail always a promise and no check its a small amount of money but they owe itDesired Settlement: they promised a refund for 53.27 over two months ago every time we call we get the run around would just like the money back

When I had mold growing in my bathroom Adams had come fix and stop the mold from continuingly growing. This is the second time I had used their services. I was referred to them by a plumber the first time when I had a water heater leak a few years and I was very pleased with their services, so I decided to use them again for this issue, which also went extremely smooth. The techs were knowledgeable and explained to me what they needed to do step by step and why, making the process easy for me to understand. Thank you for helping us repair our home again, we appreciate your work, honesty, and helpfulness.

Adams Disaster and Restoration went above and beyond.
Being in the public eye with a very popular healthy living blog/social media, I have always thought writing reviews are very important to show loyalty, honesty and integrity of a company. Being a first time home owner, I had always thought things were suppose to be fixed and given to you in a livable condition, I am paying a lot for my home and I wanted it to be perfect for me and my daughter. Even after the inspection and appraisal, things SLIPPED through the cracks and I found myself with what I thought was a small leak in my AC. As a single- woman and mom, I used my most resourceful friend "Google" and found an air conditioning service that would come out to look at it for a minimal cost.
When the tech arrived it did not take long for him to tell me my little leak was not attended to fast enough and actually created water damage to my homes structure and there was mold with-in my walls! He referred me to Adams Disaster & Restoration letting me know they will come out within the hour and look at it for free--cost at the time did not worry me as much as the mold infestation I was imagining invading my home and essentially my daughters lungs!
A man named [redacted] greeted me at my door wearing booties and had a protected mat in-front of the entrance. After the inspection for the quote, I decided to hire them, due to the recommendation and I am very pleased that I did. The job only took 3 days, the techs and Company worked with my busy work schedule and worked with my home owners insurance to get me the best deal as possible
Thank you to- AC by [redacted] for the quick recommendation and much gratitude to Adams Disaster and Restoration's for making my first home safe, livable and enjoyable once again for my daughter and I!

Adams D & R, Inc., completed a drywall and paint repair from a water damage that occurred in my guest bathroom on January 24, 2016. Adams readily responded after a local plumbing company referred them to me. A subcontractor was assigned to do the repair work. On February 18, 2016, the work was completed. However, after a thorough review, I noticed several discolorations on the bathroom walls as well as a deep seam left by the initial drywall removal above the baseboard next to the affected closet. I simply cannot understand how it went unnoticed.

Further, after an affected cabinet was reinstalled, the workers failed to repair the splintered edge of a cabinet. Lastly, there were noticeable scratches left on a baseboard after a table was returned to its place, and excessive grout was left on the bottom corner of the bathroom vanity. The company sent a worker back out to correct the errors although the grout was never removed, the seam remains noticeable. The worker left without notifying the customer.

I would not recommend this company; there was a lack of follow-up, several calls were not returned, and the work was not up to par, leaving the customer dissatisfied.

I was told that the company would be back out to review the final work, but no one came.
