I requested my paper services to discontinue and my checking account not to be debited after the may bill.
I called the daily reflector 2 weeks prior to my bill being deducted from my checking account.I told them that I wanted to cancel my subscription. I called on 6/1/2020 and 6/08/2020 to confirm my paper would cancel and no further payments would come out of my checking account. I was told twice that no more money would be taken out of my account after may 2020. This is a month to month bill.I usually pay $16.05 a month. The daily reflector pulled $16.01 for some reason? A new amount changed by one penny will allow the amount to still pull through my account because they are pulling it off my debit card. I would think that someone forgot to stop the payment if the amount that usually pulls hadn't been changed by them. This is a prime example of why they are loosing my business.

Desired Outcome

I want my $16.01 to be put back in my account. I also want to know why they changed the amount they were deducting from my checking account. It seems to me they were trying to bypass a stop payment at the bank. I want my service to discontinue NOW as we agreed upon. This is a month to month service and I have always paid on time. They don't need to try to prorate because they have missed several of my papers.

Paid for paper, got no paper. Asked for refund, received no refund.
On 11-21-2019 my credit card was charged $51.36 for a year subscription to The Enterprise. I contacted them on Dec 3 complaining that I had not yet received a paper and they said they would start sending me papers. Last week I requested a refund. *** said she would process a refund. Now a week later, and electronic refund to my credit card, which would be almost immediate, has not occurred.

Desired Outcome

A refund of $51.36.

I got my refund although they shorted the amount a little

I pay for the newspaper for my mother who is elderly in *** County NC. *** area. She never gets her papers. No deliver on Sundays
We have contacted their offices multiple times with promises they will correct the problem. My mother is elderly and seldom gets her Sunday newspapers. This is ongoing and since they dont do anything about it we are very upset. To me this constitutes a form of fraud. Accepting money for services they don't deliver but continue to accept subscription fees . Sometimes they have delivered her Sunday paper on Monday. We don't want day old news. THAT IS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR.

Desired Outcome

SHE WANTS HER NEWSPAPERS ON TIME AND AS PAID FOR.

We acknowledge the poor service that has taken place over the past 6 months. We had a carrier that was not up to par. We tried to get them to improve but that did not happen. We found a new carrier who quit about a month after he took the route. We now have another new carrier that had a rough start but has since improved greatly. At the end of February I personally went and delivered the paper to your mother's residence. I gave the carrier directions and we have not had a complaint in the system since February 28th. We have put credit on the account for the missed days and have added an extra two months since the service was poor for an extended period of time. We hope moving forward we can live up to expectations.

Continued and repeated lack of delivery since March 2016.
I have subscribed to the*** Telegram since early 2016. Throughout the past 2 years I have received numerous papers delivered late or not delivered. I have communicated with Mr. Cooke's assistant on numerous occasions as well as the staff at the*** Telegram office in***. I've had a new carrier since January 2018 with service relatively good but recently (3 of the last 4 Sundays) the papers are not being delivered until after 8:30. I have been told by staff that they should be delivered by 7:00 AM. I've tried to reach out to Mr. Cooke but his number has been changed. I hope to hear from his assistant. I don't know if I'm being credited for non-delivery of papers when they are late or not received.

Desired Outcome

What I want is for them to provide timely delivery on a daily basis. I'm asked to pay 6 months in advance for a subscription and I want them to honor their part of the contract.

We have addressed the delivery issue by splitting the route, and putting a new contractor on the route.

Auto-drafted without my consent! Says they will refund the $11.77 for something which was NEVER ordered in first place. 36 days= nothing refunded!
On 2/5 I has drafted from my account $11.77 for a newspaper subscription which I never agreed to. Of course when I called to have the issue resolved they stopped delivering immediately- therefore still holding my money for 36+ days for nothing (which I never agreed to in the first place). I did a one month trial which I paid for by debit because the agent "insisted" They needed a card on file for future if continued. He told me that there would be no additional charges to my account unless someone contacted me to see if I wanted to continue past the one month trial! NOT TRUE! They say they will refund it when I called 2/5/18- it is now march 12- no resolution. I have called over 6 times- each time being assured that it will be taken care of.

Desired Outcome

I want my $11.77 back, an apology for this ordeal!

A representative from Cooke Communications NC contacted Mrs. on the morning of 4/3 and provided a resolution. The full refund was expedited.

Customer was appreciative for the call and was happy with the resolution.

I paid for a years subscription but only got a portion of a year.
Last year I paid my annual subscription to Daily Reflector Bill said I was paid till 1,9 22017 and the year that I paid for should be up 1, 9 2018. When I got the new bill it said I was paid till 12, 26 2017. When I called about this I was told more expensive editions had been published so they took the cost off the time remaining in my annual subscription.

Desired Outcome

I feel the companies action is fraudulent and would like it to be changed to deliver what they have promised.

Customer was contacted on 1/10/17 and issue has been resolved. A credit was applied and customer renewed their subscription.
