On 7/3/Adams Roofing removed the existing roof system located at *** *** *** in *** IlDuring the roofing
project it was found that the existing roof system had previous leaking issues that caused the existing plywood to become rotted and needed to be replacedAdams Roofing removed the rotted plywood and mechanically fastened new plywood over the existing raftersWhile the new plywood was being installed the nails used to put the plywood in place fastened correctly to the rafters and at that time there were no issues with the plywood being installed correctlyOn 6/19/a 7:a.m Adams Roofing sent out a representative to meet with the homeowner at that time the homeowner pointed out the rafter they felt was rottedAfter inspecting the rafter Adams Roofing pointed out that the rafter appeared to be solid since it was still holding the plywood in place and what appeared to be rotted was actually old water marks from previous roof leaksAdams also mentioned that is the existing rafter was in fact rotted the existing plywood that was nailed down would have came loose

I just looked, and the roof is falling in and bowingAdams did not replace the rotting rafter, or even mention it which is against village code, and more importantly dangerous to our family and anyone who might be next to the garage when it falls inIt is true that Adams sent a representative to look at it, but it is not true that they said it was okWhat really happened was they asked *** for her Email address, so they could email us an estimate of repair, but we never received the email, or a phone call, or any kind of follow up contact
we called them numerous times for follow up, and mostly did not make contact or receive a Call backOne time, we were able to make contact, *** asked us if we had received the email (Which we did not) and he advised the estimate of repair was DollarsBut the amount of Dollars would have been significantly less, if Adams had done the work properly in the first placeHow could Adams charge us for their mistake, which is dis-honorable, unethical, and dangerous
We've had the roof inspected by different roofing companies, and all of them agree that Adams made an error, and should have replaced the rotted wood prior to attaching the roof
THE ROOF IS FALLING IN!!!!!! AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY
At this point we have to hire someone to fix this, and we will send Adams the Invoice and expect payment in fullIf you want to solve this problem, you might want to come down here ASAP and do something about it
I'm not sure how Adam's got an A+ rating on your websiteI think they deserve an F

As per the terms of our contract it does state as followed,
Customer Satisfaction- Presentation of the invoice is notice to the Owner/Customer the Company considers the project completeUpon notice the Owner/Customer is responsible to immediately make the final inspection and approve or disapprove the work by returning the Customer Satisfaction Rating Form; or notify the Company in writing of any work considered incomplete or not satisfactoryIf dissatisfaction notice is not received within one week, the project is considered completed and accepted by the Owner
Since Adams Roofing did not receive that letter we considered the project completeThe homeowner is stating that the roof is falling in, if that is the case Adams Roofing would recommend having a structural engineer determine if the garage may have a structural issue

Sorry but please see attached PictureWe have more pictures availableit is very clear that the wood is rotten and your team hammered the plywood to wood that is rotten, which is against village code, not to mention dangerousfrom the Picture you can see that it is not possible to be missedIt had to have been ignored
We of course would not expect you to fix it for free, but it should have been mentioned at the time of installation, as it is cheaper to replace while the roof is offDue to this Negligence we now have extra Charges
We will have the extra Charges Itemized on our Invoice for repair and send you a copy
We hope you realize the honesty of your teams error, own up to your mistake, and reimburse us for the extra cost of repair
