Adams Roofing installed a new roof on 4-28-2014 for [redacted]. After reviewing paper work there was no notation of replacement of any decking on the roof. I received a phone from Mrs. [redacted] informing me of a leak and a hole in the roof. I in good faith sent a repairman to...
inspect and repair the leak & hole on May 11,2017. On January 8, 2018 I spoke to [redacted] he informed me that he was selling his house and an inspector found a hole in the decking of his roof. I question him about the hole as I knew we had repaired one already. He also asked me if we repair the boards or rafter. I informed him that no that is not something we do. A framer is the person that would do that kind of work.We only install roofing shingles. He then stated that he would email me photos from the inspection. I then verbally relayed my email address to him. He was in a hurry to get off the phone. I checked my emails for several days but no email from him. On January 23,2018 I received a text from Mr. [redacted]& this was his text to me: [redacted] this is [redacted] I have called/emailed you about roof warranty work. You have not responded and I have scheduled repairs with other company. I have filed a complaint with Revdex.com and based on amount will be filling legal claim since repairs will cost me over 1000 . also forwarded email I sent on the 8th. that was his message to me. I replyed No I never received that email & you could have text just like you did now of the picture. That would have been helpful. On the 23 was the first time I got to see the pictures. When I spoke to him on the phone he never insinuated that we were responsible for the the rafter. Bundles of shingles are placed on the the roof for the roofer to install. We talking about 2 or 3 bundles at a time. I do not believe that the weight would damage rafter. Our Warranty covers the installation of the roofing shingles for a period of 5 yrs. I would have sent a repairman to fix the hole but not the rafter or any other boards that is not something we do. I did inform Mr. [redacted] that when I spoke to him. At any time he could have text me, as I would have responded back just like I did on the 23. [redacted]
