Customer service dictates that at some point the service provider should contact the customer letting them know the status of the work being done. I only heard from LB Adams once I called them. It is completely erroneous when the respondent asserts that I was told of the extra charge of $20 for the belt. I was only told that they were waiting for a belt since no price was mentioned it would be reasonable to assume that it was included in the estimated amount. I was told specifically by the respondent that the extra $20 typically isn't an issue therefore they don't disclose it to customers. My whole issue is I was never told about the extra charge and given the opportunity to decline or accept the extra charges. I do know that service providers are supposed to let customers know about any additional charges prior to work being done. I would also like to add that the mower was inoperatable within 2 months of being serviced by LB Adams and is presently at another repair shop. I fully expected for LB Adams to be non receptive to my complaint and to not refund my money but at least there is a record of this interaction for others to view and maybe consider a more reputable business for services. LB Adams can keep the extra money that they stole from me I just want a record of their lack of customer service.
