extremely important to us and we hope we can help. While most dentists cannot offer a lifetime warranty (due to the nature of the human body and the lifespan of the material) we do stand by our work. The team at the Smile Center is passionate about providing the highest quality dental care and if our crowns chip, break, fall off or have any other issue at fault of ours, for any of our patients within the first few years we will repair or replace it for no cost at all. Simply return to the office and we will take care of the rest.
As you did not come in to see us after your crown was delivered or nearly two years later when it presented with problem, we tried our best to offer a remedy over the phone. While this particular crown was not able to be recycled; as soon as we realized that it did in fact come off we issued a refund for the cost of the dental crown. This refund was issued prior to this complaint being filed with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com).
Crowns should not de-bond in the first few years after they are cemented. If there is an issue with the cement or the crown itself the problem is typically recognized in the days following the procedure. Occasionally if hygiene is poor, or if they wearer grinds their teeth during sleep and/or several other reasons, the crown will not last as long as it should. Although rare, this can occur, which is why having the area evaluated in detail at every cleaning is critical.
The crown was placed nearly 2 years ago, and unfortunately you have not been to the office since.
We have made 7 separate attempts over the course of 2 weeks to discuss your treatment plan with your current provider. We have spoken to their staff and left voicemails after hours. None of our calls or messages have been returned to date. We encourage you to have your current dentist contact us so we can discuss the next steps and offer additional compensation for any charges associated with this tooth's crown.

Review: I was assured by Dr. [redacted] that the crown I was receiving had a lifetime warranty. Less than two years after it was installed it fell off. I moved to a different part of the country and was unable to return to his clinic. My new dentist informed me that the crown was unusable and a crown should have never been placed on the tooth to begin with. The crown was breaking and the metal was showing through the enamel. It took two attempts to get the crown to fit correctly in the first place. I have been willing to work with Dr. [redacted] to have this resolved. His solution was to have the crown recycled. Now my insurance will not cover the new crown because it is being replaced on the same tooth within 5 years.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my original payments refunded to me or sent to my new dentist to offset my new crown. I Have been without a crown for over a month while I work with Dr. [redacted] office. After constant delays I was told that they would do nothing for me.
