Pricing on shelf sticker does not agree with register price.
The last three times that I have visited Ada's, there have been issues with pricing. What rang up at the register did not reflect the shelf price. In Oct/Nov 2019, a featured display of Bob's Red Mill Thick Rolled Oats was on sale. Unfortunately, the register did not reflect the sale price. The cashier was so notified and the register price was adjusted. Because I purchased that one item, I was able to keep track of its price. There was a previous misrepresentation of price on an earlier visit two years ago. Most recently on February 6, 2020, out of three items purchased, two items were not in agreement price wise with the shelf price and that of the register. I doubled checked the shelf sticker price of my items. Upon the cashier ringing up my items, I noticed that the Terry Vectomega was much higher than the shelf price. I notified the cashier, we then walked over to the shelf were the product was displayed. She agreed that the product rang up incorrectly. We walked back up to the register, a deduction of $11.00 was taken off the sale. I then noticed that the Dr Probiotic Women was not the price as I had remembered from the shelf. I again alerted the cashier that the price was not correct. We again walked back to the product area. It was determined that the shelf price was not in agreement with the register. Upon our return to the checkout lane, the cashier modified the price as an increase of $7.60. All three times that I have patronized Ada's, pricing discrepancies have occurred. It is too much to ask a consumer to write down every price of every item that is purchased and then to compare it with the register. The trustworthiness of Ada's pricing methods are of suspect.
Acknowledging to the public via a newspaper apology of their untrustworthy and inconsistent pricing methods to their faithful consumers that have patronized them for many years. A copy of said published apology to be emailed to me indicating newspaper(s) name(s) and date of publication.
We take every customer interaction seriously and would like to respond to complaint #*** however, the complaint is vague. I cannot intelligently respond to the customer's allegations without more specific information on the products and dates of purchase. Specifically, there are three different references to purchase dates of alleged pricing issues with no details on the product such as: size, strength, organic or non-organic or a product sku number.
Please note that store policy dictates that if there is a price question at the register, the manager on duty is called to verify the shelf tag matches the product in question.
We have a sophisticated, industry recognized POS software, that computer generates sales and shelf tags that tie into the transaction at the register.
We are able to track pricing and sales history on every product we carry. Additionally, if this customer is an Ada's Reward Member, earning $5 on every $200 spent in the store, I would be able to look at any specific transaction to determine if any price override was required and if it was warranted on that particular product.
