Scope of work with contractor was 2 lane concrete driveway, concrete driveway in furthest part of backyard for trailer, 3 retaining walls, a stamped colored concrete sidewalk, and concrete sidewalk leading to back yard patio and shed.
We Worked out an all inclusive package price-Labor and materials. When the work was complete Contractor tried to ask for more money from materials that he did not anticipate.
He was supposed to be here every day-week days working and he was here anywhere from 1-4 days a week, which prolonged the project tremendously.
2 months after work was complete we had a crack running up our driveway. 6 months after work was complete(up to date) we have 5 cracks all over our driveway and 3 cracks on our stamped concrete sidewalk. There was definitely not enough expansion joints put into the driveway or sidewalk.
I have tried to get ahold of *** and he is not willing to even come over to rectify.
Hears my contract . My truck driver and his receipts, and mid2-states receipts, the newest bill was updated on the remaining bill. that I am still paying on.
more receipts now add up the receipts for the dirt, plus hourly time is paid to the truck driver I paid out of pocket for./? They asked me pacifically will you grade the areas out your working in. I told them I could pay for all the dirt and labor and rentals if you will take care this in the end of the job? *** tells me we will take care of this at the end of the job. That's the only reason I paid for this and did the work. I wasn't doing it for free!!!! They own construction company. They set me up.
They had an old retaining wall that was made out of rail road ties. This they offered me 2k to tar out and replace. I did that work you see it its in the pictures. was no contract but I was promised I would get paied for this at the end of the job. Most importantly you can see why the job took longer because of all the grading and building. This also took longer to get my original contract done because I had to get the work done in the back yard first because of the rain and the mud.
1# iwould like to tell you she refused to show me the receipts for this job, for the concrete that was paid out from the contract. she paid on the concrete for travelers miles for flying.so if she paid out 10 k and gave me 10 k where in the hell is 6 k????????2# So now there is the proof that I fulfilled my contract because there is no complaint of that.3# you see I did the grading. that was not part of original contract That I never saw a cent for. NOTHING4# you see the retaining walls I built that I never saw a cent for. but yet its in the disposal of the railroad ties I took out and replaced brand new. 5# you see she held back 400$ from the contract from me. when She tells me if I don't sign the contract I wouldn't get any money. So I went to the Brookfield police department they told me she tricked me into signing the contract. That it was a form of was blackmailing / extortion. They told me they could of got her for this if I did not sign that yell paper . This was criminal charges against her now it was civil.6# I would like to add,when I was in the prosses of get the check she tells me she didn't want me to come back. when I addressed to the police officer about this he told me . That she doesn't want you there because she took you. FIND A laywer
We hired ADB construction(Anthony) to put in our driveway and fix our city curb which in the contract he said he would do for no charge. He came to our residence to do the job. He poured the top half of the driveway and started to do the curb and approach when somebody tipped off the city and said he was doing this without a permit. The city inspector came out and shut him down. He now refuses to finish the curb and the approach because now he has to follow city guidelines on how it has to be done. He wanted to do this all behind the cities back. He now knows it will cost him a lot more than he estimated for us and wanted to charge us more. As of now he washed his hands of this whole thing, and left us with a curb that he cut wrong and an approach that was never finished as well.
Company states that they have spoken with a consumer and gave him a refund.
We did not ask for a refund. He completely walked away before he finished the job! We are left with only half of a driveway.
