3/28/ [redacted] ***Euclid Ave 4th FloorCleve***, Ohio Dear Ms*** Ms [redacted] brought her PS unit into our establishment on February 10, for a broken HDMI port When the unit was inspected by our SrTechnician the HDMI Port was completely missing Her unit was taken apart and the motherboard was further inspected showing that there was multiple pad damage to the motherboard due to the damaged Hdmi Port along with a good bit of dirt and dead bugs.Ms [redacted] was called and informed of the said damage along with an explanation to the difficulty to the repair that it would not be a quick fix Ms [redacted] informed me at the time that I spoke to her on the phone that Youtube showed how to fix it with a hair dryer! At that time I asked her to come into the store so I could show her and explain Ms [redacted] then came in with a purchase that she had made weeks earlier for her daughter a refurbished laptop claiming that it was junk and did not work It was a Dell Latitude iquad core processor unit So I went ahead and turned on the unit and due to user initiated downloads of multiple programs the unit had become infected with viruses After Ms [redacted] stating that it was not her fault that the machine did not work well her Daughter admitted to downloading the said programs So to ensure good customer satisfaction I exchanged the computer in which she left with different unit and satisfiedAfter the transaction with the laptop I proceeded to show her what was going on with the board and she left fully aware of the situation Ms***s PSrepair was completed she came into the store on Feb 24th and the unit was hooked up to our TV and tested in front of her that it was in working condition when she leftI did get a call from her I would say about maybe weeks later stating her fan was loud I stated to her that she can bring it in and we can look at it and would waive the bench fee of $but that issue is not related to the HDMI repair in return she stated she was not paying for the fan to be repaired Thank you for your time, Michelle G [redacted] Store ManagerE-Tech ComputersDetroit AveLakewood, Ohio 44107(216) 525-
E-Tech Computers are inexperienced, illegitimate, sleazy con artistsBeware of this CompanyThe owner Steve does not know what he is doing at allHe obviously just looks at stuff on YouTube and attempts to fix things for moneyYou could do better yourselfHe tried to tell me I need a new computer because he couldn't install windows on itThen told me he would take my 'broken' one off my hands and sell me another used one he had laying around- like he was doing me a favorI decided not to take his advice and got a second opinionIt turned out my PC only needed a replacement DVD drive- a $20-dollar partEssentially he tried to steal my computer which I bought for gaming that was worth about $1K and sell me a $DellStay away from this company at all costs
Company responded via phone: Company learned the consumer's computer was covered under Apple's warranty and that is the reason company stopped working on the computer Consumer has been refunded her $Company believes the matter is resolved
