I contacted a number of security companies in Calgary when we decided to install an alarm system in our houseI only contacted companies that are accredited with Revdex.com and have an A+ ratingMy observation was that all big companies offer comparable packages at a similar priceThe way all big companies built their pricing model you are always stuck with a 2-year contract unless you are willing to pay a substantial amount for your equipmentBlanco stood out among those companies as it was the only one that offered a fully customizable packageAll other companies have a starter package and if you start making changes the price goes up very quicklyThe layout of our house was such that all starter packages required significant modificationsBlanco designed our configuration from scratch and the price we ended up paying for the equipment was not that much different than what the other companies quoted after the "discount" they give you for signing the 2-years contractsAnother thing that I liked about Blanco Security is that you pay for your equipment up front and you do not need to sign a contract for monitoringI prefer to pay for my equipment and have the flexibility to cancel the service any time instead of receiving "free" stuff and be stuck with a contractAdditionally, the warranty that Blanco offered was the best among all companiesThe standard seem to be either year parts/labor or year parts/ year laborBlanco offered me years parts and labor
Blanco Security has excellent customer serviceAlex was always professional from the initial quote through the final installationI found him very knowledgeable and he was able to address our questions and concerns He worked with us to design a security system that we are comfortable with and was quick to make adjustments to the initial quote based on our feedbackThere was no mess during installationEverything was done cleanly and efficiently and at the end Alex took his time to explain us how to operate the security systemThere were no hidden costsWe paid what we were quoted forAlex also followed up with us several times after the installation to ensure that there are no issues with the systemEverything worked as expected and we did not get any alarms due to faulty equipmentWe did not have any issues with the Monitoring Service eitherWe have not had a real alarm situation but on several times we tripped the alarm by accidentThe monitoring station was prompt to call us to ensure that there are not issues
All in all Blanco Security exceeded our expectations in all aspects of installing our new alarm systemI feel they offer the best value among all security companies I contactedThey have excellent customer service and most importantly are experts in what they doI would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a security or a home automation system
