AdCorp Media Group Reviews (16)

A contract was signed between Adcorp Media Group and Mario Bottieri on February *, According to the terms of the contract, our contracts are non-cancellable, and all deposits and payments made are non-refundable [redacted] not only signed this contract but acknowledged the fact that it was non-cancellable by initialing the stipulation in the contract that it was non-cancellable and that once advertising space was booked that it cannot be resold to someone else Our representative also signed this contract and, as such, we are also bound by its terms

[redacted] Your bench ad is in the location promised during the sales process and will remain there throughout the duration of your contract since, like our customers, we are bound by the terms of our contractThe credit card provider reviewed the charge-back request and ruled in our favor

Ad was incorrectly removed on 7/* but reinstalled on 7/** Ad has been in place since 7/**Contract has been extended for weeks so ad will get the full week ad exposure as was contracted for. Despite the fact that this advertiser has disputed all
of his credit card charges with his credit card company, Adcorp is legally bound by the contract and his ad will continue to run for the full week run and we are not in breach of any terms of the contract

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Media Group has avoided addressing my core issue in this matterI'm not disputing what the contract saysI'm not disputing that they have extended our advertisement by weeks (according to their previous response) presumably at no additional expense to usThe core issue for me is that their sales representative misrepresented what I would be receiving during the sales process that led to me signing the agreement.1) I was sold on the fact that I would be the closest advertisement to the store entrance for a six month campaign2) For over two months the advertisement was either third closest to the door and out of view behind the shopping carts or was inadvertently removed by Media Group for some period of time (I was the one who brought these issues to their attention on both counts)3) I missed the beginning of summer crowd, including Memorial Day weekend, which was an important part of the campaign (summer clients)4) Now because I can't trust that the advertisement will be where it was promised to be, I have to spend extra time going back and forth to the location to make sure the ad is still in the proper location for the next several months. What would satisfy my complaint is an admission that I was promised something by Media Group that Media Group was unable to provide, A cancellation of our agreement since I believe it was signed under pretenses, and a refund of all fees paid towards this campaign.I had initiated a charge-back through our credit card provider to recoup the fees paid to Media Group based on not receiving what we were promised in the sales processHoweverI do not want to be in violation of the signed agreement even if it was obtained under what I believe to be pretensesSo, I will be asking the credit card company to discontinue the charge-back process and ask Media Group to do what is right given the circumstances of this situation

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I signed AdCorp's agreement based on their Sales Person's assurance that I would have specific placement of my advertisement. The advertisement was not where I was assured it would be for about the first 2 months of the ad campaign. This is not about what the agreement says it's about signing an agreement under false pretenses. AdCorp should not be allowed to make representations in their sales process that they do not control. I should not be required to continue monitoring the positioning of their advertising to make sure that it is where I was assured it would be.

Review: On July 2013 Baybridge Optical signed a contract with Adcorp for placement and development of advertisement at Walbaums Bay Terrace, Bayside NY. 1 year term. During presentation from [redacted] it was clearly stated and discussed exclusivity with the optical industry including benches and MIC ads for the term of the contract. It was also clearly stated that Cohens optical at Bay Terrrace shopping center was the direct competition and Baybridge Optical wanted to make sure that Baybridge Optical had exclusivity with the ads at this location as an optical. [redacted] promised exclusivity specially with the promise of not placing an advertisement with Cohen's while our contract was effective. This Exclusive Optical clause was added by [redacted] himself handwritten. On November [redacted] while visiting the Bay Terrace Shopping Center to update promotional materials I, [redacted] noticed that Adcorp breached the contract and understanding by placing a full advertisement on the bench at the same Bay Terrace shopping center where we have our advertisment of the same direct competition Cohen's Optical previously discussed. Numerous phone calls and emails have been sent to both customer service and [redacted]. Customer Service indicates that exclusivity was only on MIC which is completly false it was very clear and discussed specifically about the benches and Cohen's Optical and exclusivity meant both benches and MIC. Customer service promised to contact [redacted] and get back to Baybridge Optical with a solution and to follow up. We have sent various emails and made numerous phone class. NO one has gotten back to us since weeks ago. We are requested full refund for what has been paid.Desired Settlement: Full refund of investment plus opportunity cost expenses.

Review: I was contacted by a sales rep for Adcorp who I met at a Dunkin Donuts in Pennsylvania. They were soliting advertising space in a Grocery store. We met on Sunday August **th. The price was $3000.00. As soon as I said I was not interested the rep immediately cut the cost in half. I then proceeded to sign their contract (company is in NY) for $555 down and then monthly payments to follow. The next day I called them to tell them I decided I was not going to go forward. They said their contract is not cancellable. I mentioned to them (email and phone) and sent them a copy of the NY cooling off period rules and they said " our contracts are not cancellable" and refused to honor my request to cancel. I have sent repeated emails and have had many calls with them and they state over and over you cant cancel. I believe by meeting in PA in a restaurant that I qualify under the Cooling off period. I have reached out to my bank Wells Fargo and have told them about this situation however the funds have already been moved to ADCORP.Desired Settlement: I want them to honor the Cooling off Period just like myself and every other business has to and honor my request to cancel with in the 2 day period. Also, I never received from them anything referencing the NY cooling off period.

Response:

Our company offers exclusive advertising space. 'Exclusive' meaning that the local competitor or a similiar business will not be advertising near yours. Therefore, when [redacted] from Fresh Coat Painting signed the contract to reserve his space we had to cancel all future appointments that were set. It's this reason that we have non-cancellable contracts. After saying that, I spoke to [redacted] today. Adcorp Media Group is releasing him from his contract.

Review: ADCORP misrepresented the service I was promised. Advertising on shopping carts that was supposed to be placed where customers would be able to see while pushing carts while shopping, was placed in the front of the cart that is not visible when pushing the cart. Very expensive, and when contacted to see if there could be resolve, they never returned calls and were rude. Now as a small business I am out a lot of money for advertising that was not what I thought I was paying for. Bad business.Desired Settlement: To place 50% of the plaques in the proper place on the carts that were promised.

Review: I was contacted by a [redacted], who reported that he was representing [redacted] in [redacted]. This was about the second week of November, 2014. He told me that his rep. [redacted] would stop by at 10:30 in the morning on November **, 2014. We went over the contract, a welcome center kiosk, with a 2 feet by 4 feet signage was to go up the first week of January and was to run through June of 2015. I wrote a check for 762.00 on 11,**,2014, got some proofs through my email. One proof was send via mail, but am not sure that I still have this mailing. I stopped by the [redacted] store in [redacted] on Tuesday [redacted] of January 2015. The [redacted] was not present, but an [redacted] told me that [redacted] does not deal with outside advertizers, and usually elects its own advertising sales. When I called Ad Corp later that afternoon, I was told that start dates vary. Now I am in a quandary as to who and what the advertising agency represents. I do not believe that businesses in Connecticut will like this information.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of contract if [redacted] does not acknowledge a business relationship with Ad Corpt Media Group [redacted]

Sincerely,

ADCORP is not for the customers , they send a sales person saying lies just to get you sign a contract and make money.

the sales person sold me a spot which is taken for long time.

he promised me that my add will be viewed by 35000 customers /week

they posted my add in nowhere in the store where not even 100 people will see my add/ week

this is a lie

I would not use them again
