Review: Additions by Anderson performed a $280,000 renovation on my home in 2003. Part of this job included installing a new roof on my home. The "life expectancy" of the roof is 25 years. Now after 10 years the shingles are falling off of my roof due to improper installation of the roof shingles by Additions by Anderson : [redacted]. I have had several professional roofers assess the situation at my home and they have all come to the same conclusion. The roof was "high nailed" and not installed according to the manufacturer's guidelines and this is why the roof is failing prematurely. This incorrect installation by Anderson also voids the shingle's manufacturer's warranty on the roof. I have tried to contact Addition's by Anderson but they have refused to acknowledge my complaint and basically hang up the phone on me. The total cost of replacing the roof will be in the $20,000 to $30,000 range. I am forced to make an emergency repair now on the higher sloping roof segments which are failing first in an effort to avoid more extensive damage and avoid leaks. This initial repair will be proceeding shortly at a cost of $6000 to $7000 dollars. Had Additions by Anderson installed the roof shingles according to the manufacturer's guidelines initially I would likely not be replacing my roof for perhaps another 20 years!Desired Settlement: I am looking for [redacted] (Additions by Anderson) to replace the roof at his own expense or to re-imburse me for the costs I will incur having to pay another roofer to replace it.
