September 9, In response to your letter concerning a complaint filed by [redacted] , I am giving my account of what happened.I did his job in Fall He called after a few weeks and said he had a leakI went there and he directed me to the leak which he thought was on the front of the dormerI did a repair by caulking around nail heads and fixed loose flashingHe called a second time and said it was still leakingI returned again, however, I don't remember what I did the second timeI did not hear from him again after that so I assumed that I took care of the leak this time.He then called me in August (years later), saying it still leakedHe said it only leaked during heavy, blowing rainsSo once again I returnedThe leak as not in front of the dormer as he had previously showed me, but on the side of e dormer insteadI removed old shingles from that area and installed new step ashing and new shinglesIt rained a few times since I did the recent repairsI do call at least one heavy rain on August 31stI did call him and ask him if it leaked anymoreHe said it didn't rain much there and he didn't notice anythingSo as far as I know, the leak has been fixed.I responded each time he called and I did not hear from him for yearsIf there had still been a continuing problem, he should have called to let me know before now.Michael A

I returned again, however, I don't remember what I did the second time.
