Company misrepresented how they would handle our film for distribution and failed to supply detailed accounting of fees accrued
I am writing today to file a complaint with you regarding an international film distribution company, *** & Associates Entertainment (A&AE), a LA-based company
My husband, *** ***, and I signed a contract with this company in April of to help distribute our filmWe were (and still are) living in Colorado
A&AE sought us because we had completed an independent full-length film, and they wanted to help us distribute that film (Openings, the search for ***)We had no inclination to sign a contract, but after repeated aggressive sales phone conversations and emails, we agreedWe told them we are not making films anymore and that we would only agree to move forward only if we were just able to give them the film - we could offer zero money and zero energy- we did not want to put ANY effort into this venture
