Review: I called Admiral Heating on Thursday, January 8th and spoke with a representative requesting service on my furnace as it would come on and shut back off again. He came to our home, took the panel off our furnace and stated that there was a problem with our gas pressure and to contact out gas company. He then connected a jumper wire as he stated our thermostat was the cause of the issue as well and stated he would be back. We reached out to our gas company explaining that we were told we had a problem with our gas pressure. They immediately came out and checked the pressure, determining that there was nothing wrong with the gas and was indeed a problem with our furnace. We reached out to another technician who was able to check our furnace on Friday morning. The technician took the panel off of the furnace and immediately determined the source of the issue was our heat exchanger. He showed us the problem areas on the heat exchanger and advised it needed to be replaced. The technician from Admiral returned on Friday and gave us a bill for $79.00 for a furnace check. I called and spoke with the representative again on Monday January 12 explaining that I do not believe we should have to pay for the bill for the furnace check. If the furnace was truly checked properly, he should have noticed the issue immediately just as the other technician had done. [redacted] stated that he did check the furnace and that the thermostat was causing the furnace to turn off. Clearly Admiral heating did not complete a furnace check to truly diagnose the issue.Desired Settlement: I believe Admiral Heating and Cooling should not charge us the $79.00 fee for a furnace check. They need to remove the charge and not charge us anything as they failed to truly complete a furnace check. If they had checked the furnace properly, they would have found the heat exchanger needed to be replaced and that there was not a gas pressure problem and that the thermostat did not cause the heat exchanger to fail.
