Review: On 07/07/2014 I went to that store to purchase monthly supply of meat; I normally go there every month and a half to purchase meat for my home. I normally spend around $150 on the meat products.This time around I decided to purchase a box of chicken leg and thighs that is 40 lb in weight. I had called the store around 2 pm to inquire about the availability of the box and the owner lady said Yes, we have it; it is 40 lb in weight. $45 without skin; $40 with skin.I showed up and requested the person in-charge at that time to bring such a box. He said it is $45 with or without skin, doesnt matter! Advertisement issue contradictory to what the owner lady told me over the phone.After he brought the box, he told me it is 40 lb Net and showed me the supplier label which read Net Weight 40 lbs. I said I will buy the box but you need to weight the chicken without the box. He did! The total weight was around 36lb 4 lb short of the advertised price.He brought another box, weighted the chicken, it was around 36.5 lb!The person in-charge tried to reach the owners over the phone but the calls went to the voice mail.I proceeded with the rest of the order which took around 30 minutes to complete. In the meantime the owner lady showed up and the in-charge told her the same; she didnt say anything, just nodded her head and moved on! At the time of the checkout, I told her about what had happened and she said I will talk to the supplier, thats all!I have a feeling that the owners are cheating by taking out 5-6 leg pieces from each box when they receive it from the supplier. The supplier happens to be a big company which would not jeopardize their business over 3-4 lb of chicken per box.Desired Settlement: They just need to make sure that the advertised weight matches what they actually sell. If they aren't stealing then definitely it is their supplier problem, so they need to talk to the supplier. Rest assured I will ask them to weight the chicken if I went there next time to purchase the meat.
