Review: Adobe Tile and Stone never provided me with a written contract in violation of California State law which mandates any contract over $500 has to be in writing. I paid Adobe Tile over $22,000. 1. They double billed me in the amount of $4,536 which they refuse to refund or even respond to any of my communications. The double billing occurred on three separate line items. For each double billing the descriptions and dollar amounts on the invoices are the same. The double billings occur on all three invoices which demonstrates intent and fraud. 2. I prepaid for services not provided - they did not complete the grout installation in living room and around a door way that was tiled. They told me they would spend 2-3 days cleaning the tile throughout the house. This was never performed and they charged me for this service. They billed me for sealing the tile that was never completed. There were other items as well. 3. They left trash cans in the back yard full of grout that I was unable to dispose of due to the weight. They left grout spilled on my grass and on an adjoining property not owned by me. I sent Adobe Tile letters and email and they have not responded. 4. They put a lien on my property for over $10,359 and refuse to provide any legal justification, contract, or legal authority to place the lien. I sent them a demand notice which they completely ignored. The invoice associated with the lien is bogus and contains items that are double billed. 5. Their fees tripled without any prior notice. They would present a bill and say these are the fees without any prior approval. There tile installation increased to $15 square foot but there was not consistency in the billing per SF across items. 6. There were multiple redo when tile was installed incorrectly by incompetent staff. He said he would reimburse me for the tiles that I had to repurchase but did not meet this commitment.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of money for items that were double billed and services not provided. I had prepaid in December for all work. I would like the illegal lien removed from my property. I want documentation justifies the lien. Where is the contract that gives him this authorization?
