ADR Paint Special Reviews (%countItem)

ADR Paint Specials was contracted to do work. The work was to include preparation, painting, review/touchups and cleanup.
During the painting process a number of significant deficiencies and damage were noted. The company also charged for painting baseboards which did not take place and the manager indicated $600 would be held back from payment. I was not refunded. As for the work, I had to pay others once to clean up paint on brand new flooring and carpets, and their still is a mess that the manager promised the painter would contact me and return to clean up paint on hardwood flooring, vinyl flooring, countertops, ceilings, in grout between tiles. He would also touchup all areas not painted properly. This work took place over 60 days ago and there has been no response to my requests. The bathroom counter has been stained by the paint, and the grout between the ceramic floor tiles is also stained and will need fixing.

The painters did not show up on scheduled date and did not inform us. After 5 days on site upon final inspection deficiencies were noted. Told parts of paint still wet, and to wait until it dried. Upon further inspection once paint was completely dry several deficiencies were noted. Called Carrie (supervisor) to let her know. She booked the painters to return to correct the deficiencies. They returned and we went over the deficiencies. They attempted to repair. After 2 days on site they felt repairs were completed. Again deficiencies located. Carrie came to inspect and agreed as well as found several other deficiencies we had not noticed. The painters retuned again and started trying to repair the many deficiencies. Their repairs were making things worse. I called Carrie to let her know my frustration. She contacted the painters and asked them to leave without completing the job. Carrie said she would come personally and complete the repairs. During her visit she attempted to make repairs. Unable to fix the deficiencies she stated that the whole thing should be totally repainted and reported this to her supervisor, Robbie R. Arrangements were made for Robbie to inspect the work. He never showed up on the day scheduled or called to reschedule. After follow up with Carrie a new appointment was scheduled. Robbie did show up this time, but never completed an inspection of the job. He arrived and entered our homes entry and started to inspect. He jumped up on an antique wooden chest to get a better view. When I asked him to get off the chest with his boots on he became upset. I started to head upstairs to show him the main part of the house that had been painted. He made a comment stating there was nothing he was going to do and that he was "out of here". He then left with no resolve.

Definitely wouldn't recommend. I had specifically requested a copy of their Liability Insurance (several times in fact) be emailed to me as well as copy of painter's WCB #/Clearance letter. Received neither. A painter was supposed to be at my place on Thur, Mar 16/18 b/t 8-8:30. No show/no phone call so I ended up having to call PaintSpecial (long distance as well). That's when Robbie advised that he didn't send a painter because the painter he had scheduled to do my job had outdated WCB coverage and all his other painters were on other jobs. PaintSpecial/Robbie didn't even have the courtesy to call me ahead of time to let me know. In fact, I firmly believe that the painter that was supposed to come to my place was already scheduled at another job site. Very Very bad customer service.

Definitely, would NOT recommend.

You had requested that I send a copy of the insurance and WCB with the painter in the morning when he got there when I talk to him in the morning to make sure he had his papers with him he informed me that his WCB was not up-to-date I informed him that he could not go to the job because he did not have his up-to-date WCB when I talk to you about it you informed me that you did not want anybody else to come and you would have to find another painter. because we booked three weeks in advance it is almost impossible to have a painter come on such short notice I could have rescheduled you for a couple of days later or the following week with a different painter but you told me you were going to hire someone else. We have $2 million liability insurance and all our painters are subcontractors and have WCB coverage or we can not give them work

No, I had requested two or three times that you email me a copy of your liability insurance. You did say that the painter would provide me with a copy of their WCB coverage. My question would be why would your company line up a painter that didn't have updated WCB coverage when I specifically requested? Yet in your response you say "all our painters are subcontractors and have WCB coverage or we can not give them work". You check with the painter the morning of? You got to be kidding me.

You said that you didn't have anyone else that could come that day. Why would I want to wait another few days/weeks? As for rescheduling, this was already the 2nd reschedule. I figured 3rd time would not be a charm.

Secondly, the fact that you obviously knew ahead of time that the painter you had scheduled was not going to be coming to my place to do the painting supposedly because they had outdated WCB coverage and yet you didn't take it upon yourself as a common courtesy to call me and let me know. Instead, I was waiting at my place for the arrival of a painter and I had to call you to find out what was going on.

Poor business practices is all I have to say about this business. I will definitely not be recommending this company to anybody and should anybody ask me about a painting company, I will gladly let them know about my experience.

All our painters are subcontractors and we expect that they have taken care of their WCB we have liability insurance and had left a copy of the insurance at the paint store for the painter to bring to your house in the morning but we don't ask them every morning if they have taken care of there wcb or if they're up-to-date on it you had scheduled us to come in and requested that they have their WCB coverage to show u when they showed up they finally admitted to me that they were not up-to-date on their coverage the morning of the job you had called me about 15 minutes after I had talk to them and I was scrambling around to try to find somebody to come and do the work but unfortunately you had called me before I had the chance to call you and you did not give me the opportunity to reschedule somebody there if it was not going to be that day which is pretty hard for me to reschedule a painter last minute sorry for the inconvenience this is not how we do business we expect that our subcontractors have WCB coverage and these painters who did not do not work for us anymore
