Ashley, here is my account of the incident in question Mr*** *** arrived at Adrenaline Rush Paintball on 9/20/(Sunday) later than everyone else that was in the group that he was playing withThe participants in that group had already set their guns up and
we're ready to play before he got thereOur referees and several other people witnessed these players chronograph their markersAs a matter of fact, they came and requested the handheld chronograph that we use themselves....something Mr*** did not doHe played in several games and was shot in the fingers once, claiming he "broke his fingers"...but continued to play, which from a medical standpoint seems near impossibleI've broken my fingers before in sports....you don't just keep playingAfter numerous warnings from our referees to stop swearing around the kids he was playing against, he was shot in the mask (his own personal mask that we did not provide) from a very close rangeA small piece of paintball shell went thru the vent holes on his mask and scraped his lip (much like a shaving cut). Upon getting back to the rest area he immediately went into a rage and leftThe next day I awoke to over hateful and slanderous posts on my Adrenaline Rush Facebook account from a lady that wasn't even there, yet she claims to know everything about the storyShe also left an email on my website with her phone number that I called back at approximately 7:Monday morningUpon my introduction she immediately goes into a rant of what happened and threatening to shut me down and run me out of businessShe was literally screaming at me thru the phone, and my wife was a witness as it was on speakerphone in my vehicleShe wasn't seeking an apology or even an account of what happenedShe just wanted to argueI stated to her the facts that players did chronograph, and at other paintball parks in San Antonio, they don't even enforce it...simply trying to get her to understand how some other parks operateRegardless she wouldn't hear it and just proceeded to tell me that he played professionally at some point in his life and that they were a paint balling family and I had no idea what I was talking aboutWe exchanged several messages on fb (which I still have) and at no point in time was I harassing herI was only trying to talk like civil adults, but she just kept going on with threats that she was going to close me down and the guys that worked for me would no longer have jobs I've had THOUSANDS of satisfied customers in the nearly years I've been openHave I seen a few injuries...yesResearch paintball and you will find out quickly that you can get bruised up and possibly bleed a little at ANY paintball parkThat's why you sign a waiver of liability stating the risk of injury at EVERY paintball park on the planetMr*** signed one as wellI have it in front of meNever once was he in a situation or circumstance that was any different than any player that has ever come thru our gatesWhile I am very sorry to hear that Mr*** had a small cut on his face due to the dangerous nature of the sport I will NOT be refunding him any money whatsoeverHe himself has made no contact at all with me and quite honestly I don't know or care who Philene Harte isIf Mr***, who is a year old man, would have simply called me with a concern, I'm 100% positive we could have come to some sort of agreementBut to immediately start slandering a business, when you yourself weren't even there and going off here say alone, then to not even be able to speak on the phone like a grown up entitles you to some sort of apology and refund....well that's not how business works *** *** Adrenaline Rush Paintball
