Adrian and Dilia Construction

Review: On May 25, 2009 Adrian and Dilia Construction built our home. work was done unto the ruffing stage because we were waiting on assistance pending a previous contractor fraud case to finish the home entirely. On August 27, 2013 an inspection was conducted the property failed on several basic builder code procedures. The failures include but are not limited to: 1). Windows in bedrooms do not meet emergency egress 2). Hangers and straps not employed 3). Draft stopping not employed 4). Beams not supported properly at ends 5). Floor Joist over notched 6). Blocking missing over the floor joist and beams 7). Termite shield not installed or improperly installed. The inspection is pending completion when all sheet rock installed by volunteers is removed. This is all work performed by Adrian and Dilia Construction and subcontractors. Now we cannot proceed with work to the home until this is rectified. I call Mr. [redacted] on August 29, 2013 to notify him of the issue and see what resolution we can come to. He contends that all proper codes were enforced and the electrical contractor called for all appropriate inspections. He asked for time to gather is information and pull files. I gave him 24hrs to call me back with proof and or a solution to redo the failed items. During which time I found that Mr. [redacted] was not licensed as a contractor and was working illegally on several homes including my home. He never called back, but we did speak when I called him. He was extremely hostel and total uncooperative stating that he was not going to do anything especially giving any money to right the wrongs he cause to this property. The repair estimate is approximately $60,000.00. and we have no way of obtaining this money.Desired Settlement: It is desired that Adrian and Dilia Construction (Mr. [redacted] and [redacted]) pay for the cost of repairing their ill-fated work. For the work to be preformed by a stated licensed and accredited contractor on their dime.
