We had ADT install a flood detector in our home and a recent rain storm revealed just how *** this company is. The flood detector failed resulting in a flood in our basement. We spent many hours cleaning up the mess and, thinking they would accept responsibility, we submitted a request to ADT for compensation. They didn't even respond. It was their *** that caused the flood and they should accept responsibility for the damages.
After five emails and a number of voicemails we found out that their standard practice for damage caused by them was to have the effected people claim on their insurance and ADT would pay the deductible. Your home insurance is likely to increase but ADT pays the deductible.
Needless to say this is not what we expected from a security system.
The branch manager has reached out to Mr. R.to review his concerns and answer any outstanding questions he may have regarding the service he received and the incident regarding the flood detection event.
In fact, Mr. S. reached out with, and we quote "Yes I received your message and will get back to you shortly" that was five days ago. He did not. ADT has not addressed any of our concerns nor has it answered any of our questions. So much for "reaching out".
