eventcoordinator for Pearl Street and The *** who they met with for their planning meeting and shewas responsible for planning with them and seeing the wedding through until the day of, throughthe ceremonyThey are also assigned a banquet captain for the reception; Mike.They booked the *** Building for their ceremony and Pearl Street Grill's Canal ViewRoomfor their reception to take place on 10/9/They had separate contracts: for theceremony and for the receptionI made it clear both were to be handled separately since theywere different banquet roomsThis was reiterated at the planning meeting that was held on5/30/The couple paid separate deposits and signed separate contractsThe initialceremony contract that the bride signed had a clerical error resulting in a higher charge; this waslater fixed once we noticed our error.The bride came to her final pre wedding meeting and paid for the Wedding Reception in full.The following day was the ceremony rehearsal at the *** Building which ran a little long anddue to time restraints, the ceremony invoice was never presentedIt was a mistake on our partwhich we explained and apologized for when the ceremony invoice was presented to the couplethe night of their receptionThey refused to pay it and the captain broke policy and let themleave since they were upsetIt was their banquet captain that presented the invoice to the couple.After the reception we followed company procedure and contacted the couple in an effort toreceive paymentWe by no means harassed the couple, however since we were not receiving aresponse, we had to contact them multiple times we were also trying to avoid charging themthe 1.5% interest due to non payment, as it states in the contractsNovember 1st was when wereceived communication back from the groom.During the planning process the bride had sent more emails than our average bride in regardsto their contract and the details involved for their receptionWe also spoke many times viaphoneI am surprised at their shock when they were told they didn't pay their 2nd invoice as weand made this clear many times that there would be seperate contract thus separate invoices.Yes it was an error in our part in presenting the ceremony invoice, however they still had asigned contract agreeing to pay for services renderedThese services were rendered thuspayment should be made.Sincerely,Carey M***Director of Catering

I am a customer since 1992, monitoring fire and burglaryI learned very recently that in the last two years, since I changed to an internet telephone system, I have paid my bills but have actually had no alarm service because I had no telephone connection to ADTADT monitors my systemThey knew I had no service but never called me to say I have a problemMy home could have burned down and they would not knowADT says its entirely the customers fault for not testing themselves and checking the status with a computer on their websiteAll of their customers are suppose to be able to walk through the tecnical steps of testing an alarm systemThey take no responsibility to take action for their own test reportsTheir customer service is TERRIBLE with uneducated staff giving different answers to he same question It is a very slopshod disorganized organizationThier billing department has a phone number for me I have not had in a decadeCustomers should have absolutly no confidence in any aspect of this company, including monitoring

Rude customer service, hidden contract extensionsWill NEVER use their service again
I rent a house and I signed a three year service contract with ADT two years ago with the assurance that I could transfer my service within that timeframe to a new location if I movedRecently, structural damage to the house caused me to move on short noticeI called ADT to transfer my service, which they scheduledHowever, I received a confirmation call and the caller remarked off-hand that the technician would bring the new contract to signI had never been told there would be a new contract and I thought I would be fulfilling the final year of my current contractWhen I complained to the sales team, I was put on hold for long periods of time, treated rudely, given excuses, and finally was hung up on by the supervisor, Troy, when I said to cancel my serviceI remained calm, didn't raise my voice or curse and did not deserve the horrible treatment I got from this company

We have been with ASDT for 13 years. When our fire alarm threw a false alarm twice in 12 hours we were told it would take a week for them to come out to service it. My husband was told on the phone that if he signerd up for a maintenance contract that it would cut the cost to $80 for the trip out for the repair, that included all parts, etc. When the tech came out to do the repair the story had changed that because we had the problem 1st that he still had to charge us the fee plus parts. I feel like they are running a scam to sell warrantees that they are not upholding!
