Advance AutoParts sold me a faulty product that overcharged and caused damages to my vehicle which burned out the battery and the Ford F150 computer.
Update: I recently made a complaint with Advance (and was given a claim# ***) in regards to the damages to my truck's Computer in which I have the receipts that correspond to the products in question, as well as my battery as previously mention but are placing obstacles such as asking for the receipt for the battery which is impossible to get since that was bought 2-3 years ago. I'm not asking for a new battery mainly to exchange it for another if used or a monetary reimbursement, since my battery had been working perfectly before the mishap.
However my main concern has to do with them asking for the Alternator for checkup which I have no problems with as long as it's done locally, since they want it ship out of town and I would have no idea if they would be honest with their results.
There 3rd request I have no problems with obtaining a letter of the mechanic who installed the item.
I would appreciate any intervention/help in this matter in order to solve my complaint, considering I have never in my life have had any trouble with any other similar store. Thank you.
