onto the repair order improperly and a round number.   When the service advisor wrote the repair order in our DMS system, he entered the wrong mileage.  The customer then saw this difference and assumed we drove the car the difference in miles that are noted.  The car sat in our lot over the weekend with the keys secured in the building.  We had no reason to even testdrive the car for the complaint with the A/C.   I tried explaining this to the customer, but she did not believe this and instead believed that we drove her car over 100 miles for pleasure.  I offered to fill her gas tank out of courtesy, which she responded would not fix the issue and put miles back on her car.  I tried explaining again it was a typo, but she did not believe this to be true. We feel poorly that we made this error and caused this customer to distrust us and feel as though we took advantage of having her car in our possession.  However, we simply have no reason to drive customer vehicles for any other reason but to repair them.  In this case, it was not necessary to drive it at all.
