*** *** Case ID *** RE: Response to Customer Service Complaint Allstate. You're in good hands. Customer service is a top priority with our agency, knowing our customer's feel we are the right fit is an area of importance for usIn Ms***s case, the
initial call to our agency was placed by her step-fatherThere was no mention of an SR-requirement which is a form notifying the state of Ohio that a person has an active insurance policy due to sever driving infractions and/ or suspended licenseWe were informed the previous *** policy would be cancelled for non-payment and we did not need to send a cancellation form due to the policy cancelling itselfWe have a strong practice of cancelling one's policy to better provide service, but in this case we were informed not to do so. We processed the request on July 1, and informed Ms*** that we will monitor the processing time and once available there is a hour turn-around time to obtain the SR-The hour window is not the processing time, that is the time in which our request to receive a copy is to be expected once processed. Several phone call and email conversations with Ms*** regarding the update to the SR-requestOn July 10, the proper filing with the State and RMBC was made available, we immediately overnighted the form to Ohio and emailed a copied version to Ms*** with no response.I strongly feel this was not an error on our part, more so a lack of communication between Ms*** and her step-father when setting up the initial policyWe weren't informed of an SR-requirement and were told not to cancel the *** policy do to it cancelling for non-payment. We talked to *** and confirmed the information transmitted from her Mother and Step-Father regarding the SR-and cancellation to ***Were were notified that the *** policy will cancel for non-payment and not to send a cancellation to ***, although that is a common practice we performWe advised *** to forward us any late fees and will resolve accordinglyAs of this point, we will wait for the late fee invoices to review and have notified *** of insurance with Allstate with an effective date 05/25/

We have sent a 2nd cancellation request to *** to cancel the policy effective 05/25/We also contacted the insured's step-father, David ***, who helped setup the policy and with an update after requested we do not cancel the policyWe are not responsible for any past-due non payment collection bills*** and ***'s policy will be their responsibility to resolve directlyThe faxed documents to *** are attached as a reference and request this cased is closed
