Advance replaced the siding and windows at my homeThey were very professional and efficient from the first callWe were very happy with the final product and would recommend them to anyone

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I expect someone will be contacting me to either make arrangments for another painter or determine if I should have a painter come out and give and estimate to obtain a check.  I am open to either option.  I only ask that someone do us the courtesy of contacting us and not ignoring my phone calls.

Roof was installed as per contract and the contract has no specification or promise other than to install the roof to absolute proper installation techniques and workmanship was promised.  As with all contracts, if something is promised it needs to be in writing.

contract was performed and installed to the letter, and the customer did indeed experience water penetration not due to a leak but due to ice damning.  It was explained that we can not be held responsible for the incorrect application of the work of other's, which was the cause of the leak, and which as it was not mentioned that we fixed the breached area at no charge. In good faith, even though we are not responsible, we agreed to repair the damage to the area and have made attempts to reach the painter. We can either attempt to contact a different painter or send a check to cover the damaged area

When Advance was asked to give Mr. [redacted] an estimate to replace his roof in 2010 his attic was having severe issues with moisture in the upstairs attic including signs of mold. Suggestions were made to alleviate the moisture which included opening ventilation in the soffit ( the more expensive...

option) or installing Smart Vent by DCI Products which is an intake ventilation system installed near the eave of the house. This intake style ventilation system in conjunction with a ridge vent allowed the proper Net Free Ventilation required for Mr [redacted]'s attic. To be clear in response to Mr. [redacted]'s claim, all installed products were found to be installed in accordance with both the roofing manufacturer's guidelines as well as DCI Products guidelines. Nothing was installed incorrectly. In good faith and at no extra charge Advance installed new ventilation through the soffits and installed new vinyl soffit in February of 2016. This corrected the problem and allowed Advance to pursue why the product failed with DCI Products as well as Owens Corning. Finally after a very thorough site visit with DCI and their head engineer it was determined that the cellophane strip used by the roofing manufacturer released from the underside of the shingle over the face of the intake ventilation system thus clogging and short circuiting the system from working. In other words it prevented any intake ventilation. Advance takes education of it's employees and sales consultants very seriously. DCI Products during all of its training never cautioned Advance that their product could be compromised by the shingle product nor did Owens Corning have awareness that the shingle product "release strip" could compromise the intake ventilation. To date neither manufacturer has found their product nor the installation to be defective, Owens Corning did agree to cover the replacement cost of the roofing material only. All other expenses, labor, plywood and disposal cost were covered at no charge to the customer by Advance as a courtesy not as a warrented obligation, My main roof foreman is a terrific gentleman named Adrian. When asked if the previously installed baffles were nailed to the plywood, he responded they were not. We did find out later that they were stapled to the old plywood which was necessary during the installation process of the blown in insulation only to prevent the blown in insulation from clogging the baffle. I believe the installed system of the new roof, roof deck, soffit ventilation and properly placed insulation baffles to be of proper working order and allowing for maximum air flow and at no cost to the consumer. I honestly don't know what more someone could ask for from a company. My suggestion to any person reading this and needs to improve attic ventilation would be to always maximize ventilation through the soffiting whenever possible even though it is the more expensive option. Just got my new roof, I'm so happy with the service and installation. Good job guys!

Advance, Inc. was recommended to me by my brother. Their pricing was competitive, and work began on time and was completed on time. Employees knew what they were doing, and were very professional. I will use this company again!!

Review: On 12/14/13 we experienced a leak in our family room caused by ice damming and pooling. We initally had problem with old roof. When we purchased our new roof in 2011 (Date?) with a lifetime warranty we were assured that our new roof would stop the problem that we had in the past. On 12/15, we contacted Advance and they sent out a repair technician on 12/16. The technician stated that the flashings were on too tight and he fixed and would have someone contact us about indoor repairs. On 12/20, I contacted the company and spoke with Lauren (receptionist) who stated someone would call me back regarding repairs. On 12/23, after no call back, I called and spoke with Lauren and she sent [redacted] out to take pictures. At that time I also forwarded pictures I took to the company of the interior damage. On 12/30 I left message for [redacted]. On 1/3 no call back. I spoke with Tom Jackson who told me [redacted] was working on situation and would call me back. On 1/6 I spoke with [redacted]. He stated that issue was a corner piece of siding that was down to deep and not an installation issue. Wanted to know what I was hoping to get out of complaint. I explained that I was told when sold roof that it would solve previous issues of ice damming and pooling and at no time was it ever mentioned that there were issues with this siding. [redacted] stated that ice damming and pooling should no longer be an issue because technician fixed problem. He was to discuss with his manager. I called back on 1/10. Spoke with Jason. He reported that [redacted] wanted to bring a technician out to do measurements. On 1/20 Manager and technician, [redacted], were to come out. Only [redacted] came out as manager,, [redacted] was out sick. Advance willing to paint 1 wall and touch up ceiling damage. I called and spoke with [redacted]. They stated would sand corner piece as well. [redacted] would have painter contact me. In February (exact date uncertain) I received call from painter, Robin McCorkle. He stated would be calling me in a couple weeks to start paint job. On 3/24, I contacted painter and he told me he had forgotten about us and would call me back in a week. To this date, I have heard nothing further from painter. I have left message with receptionist, [redacted], on 4/14, 4/21, and 4/25 with no call back from anyone at Advance to help with situation.Desired Settlement: I would like arrangements be made to make necessary repairs as soon as possible. I can be reached during the day a[redacted]
