They did a wonderful job our ac went out on a Friday morning the tech was out Friday evening and we had our new ac by Saturday afternoon they were prompt and cleaned up after the job they even came back out quickly when we had an issue

8/15/18 N.S.B. C.J., Hubert, and Brendon installed a new Daikin Heat Pump and Air Handler for me in 86 degree heat. Very Professional, punctual and Courteous. They did a super job attending to detail and good clean-up. Had cool air same day with 1 day notice. Would highly recommend them and continue to use their services.

Charged me 125.00 for 2 tuneups.Service not done Also used scare tactics to make unneccessarypurchase and worse,crossed wires to make air blow hot air
They charged me 125.00 for 2 tuneups which they never did. The tec came to my home and while he was here, I watched exactly what he did. He drained the water from the outside ubit and checked the disposeable filter. Never checked the condeser coil,thermostat,blower motor,blower wheel,refridgerant,accumulator,compressor,fan, motor,drain pan,contactor,capacitorss,or tested the drain line. Their contract states PROPER servicing will increase efficiency & reduce costly repairs. I called to complain and finally a week later the manager/owner called and told me the tec wrote in his reports that all was done. That is a lie. I WAS there. When we turned the het on, it only blew cold air. The tec told me that I needed a NEW defrost board. I questioned him as to why. He said it was bad and to replace it would cost $350.00 and if it was not replaced , my unit would freeze up and I would haave to buy a whole new system. I told him my husband and I would talk about it when he got home. I called TRANE company that afternoon and they told me you need a meter to read the defrost board and can not conclude it is "bad" by looking at it. He did not mention that the previous tec intntionaally made the orange wire touch the red terminal blockin the air handler makingthe signal constantly energise reversing value trying to scare me into purchasing the defrost board unnessarily. They took advantage of us as seniors thinking and hoping we knew nothing about this field, That is true but I watched exactly what he did twice for my paid "TUNEUPS AND I got nothing. I never received a "FREE tuneup" as they advertised and all 15 items were never done. I had another company come to my home and was totallt taken aback when he did a tuneup as Advanced air had never done. The new company was here for over one hour and took apart the inside unit and cleaned it for the first time in 10 years. It is a blessing to know there are HONEST companies out there. Advance is not one of them.

Desired Outcome

Just a refund from this company which by the way, has many complaints and are being taken to small claims court.

Thank you for your inquiry. We certainly appreciate your thoughts and concerns, and take them very seriously in our ongoing effort to provide the best home comfort services possible to our many great customers. We apologize for any misunderstanding or inconvenience you may have experienced.

In regards to the service agreement that was purchased for the HVAC system in your home on 10/3/17, we did indeed perform a service visit the same day, and did indeed reconfigure the thermostat wiring in an effort to provide cooling for the immediate interim, as the home would be unoccupied for several weeks to follow. This effort was ultimately successful for nearly one month's time. It was stated at this time by the technician, that there may be a need to replace the wire. As stated in our agreement, there was no charge for the associated service call or labor fees. Subsequently, Advanced Air and Heat performed a courtesy maintenance follow up visit on 10/17/17. Again, as per our service agreement, this visit was free of charge. The system was still effectively operational and cooling properly at that time.

On 10/30/17, nearly one month after the initial visit, there was a return service call to the home. During this time it was determined that the defrost control board in the outdoor condensing unit was having intermittent issues and was recommended to be replaced. Again, this visit was free of charge per our service agreement. Unfortunately, this was the last Advanced Air and Heat had heard of the situation.

As stated in our agreement, 2 maintenance visits would be provided. Theoretically, since the 1st visit was performed in October 2017, the 2nd visit would be due 6 months later, in April of 2018, or at a later date preferred by the customer. We are not yet, by any means, out of those parameters, and are more than willing to fulfill the remainder of the agreement, if it would be acceptable to do so.

Again, we sincerely appreciate any and all feedback from our customers, and always strive to find an amicable resolution to their issues or concerns. Our office will be in touch shortly.

The Trane company has said you can not "determine "that the Defrost Board needs replacement by looking at it. So please, do not tell me or the Trane technicians that you can. I have told you and your office employees, that your tec did not do a tune-up on my AC unit. Not only did he not do it, he filled out his paperwork to look like he did. On your own contract you have 15 items that you do for a tune up for FREE. Well if you do 15 for free, how come I got 2 and I paid you $125.00. I will say it again, YOU were not there, I was. I watched everything he did from the time he pulled into my driveway until the time he left. Your tec lied to you. You also say in your statement that you messed around with the wires rather then repair the problem which btw, was not the control board. Your tec USED scare tactics into makeing me believe that if I did not replace it at a cost of $350.00, my entire unit would freeze and seize up. Your statement says he "recommended" replacement. INCORRECT. He scared me into believing my unit would seize and freeze and then I would have to replace it. I spoke to an employee in your office by phone and when I asked her about the DEFROST board, she, and I quote, said, TRUST me, it needs to be replaced. REALLY? How the heck would she know? You mention my home would be unoccupied for several weeks, after you tec jimmie rigged the wires. Where the heck did you get that lie from? We have lived in the state of Florida for 24 years as full time residents. Whoever gave you that info is an out and out liar. Mr. F, your tecs have lied to you from the get go in regards to my AC unit and it's care. They have not been honest and forthright but I do believe you know that already.
