I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am shocked a person who I never met was able to answer all my concerns . When I asked the gentleman at Advanced Auto who I was speaking too about his name or the name of the owner he told he doesn't have to answer those questions. Also I contacted our local news station [redacted] consumer helper and the same gentleman( manager) would not answer any questions including his name to them. When I was looking at this 2 way system I purchased the only upgrade they told me about was to open the truck with their fob.. The increase was a extra 25.00, which I purchased. The owner keeps talking about extre charges to do what the starter is suppose to do. Never did they bring up any extra charges other that the trunk.. I stated to you earlier, I would never take my car or recommend there business to anybody. I called the python help desk and they told me to  take the car to the only certified installer in the south towns of  [redacted]. I took my car to [redacted] on Sept 29th. [redacted] looked at my cars new starter and attempted to use the fob. Most Fuctions didn't work! It took [redacted] over 3 hours to fix the installation and was on the phone constantly with tech support to fix the wiring done by Advanced Auto. It took Advanced 1.5 hours to install this system and it took over 3 hours for [redacted] to fix al issues. Everything works they way the manual states it should. From lights horns panic alarms and I am very thankful to [redacted] and [redacted] . [redacted] also told me they get a lot of cars from Advancd to correct installed starters. To date my starter is working fine and does everything the manual says it should at no extra charges as stated by Advanced Auto. Also I wish the owner would have called me at home, and still can , my home phone number is ###-###-####.

As the owner of Advanced Auto Electronics it is my job to know what happens at my business. My employees have been instructed not to release my name or phone numbers to the general public. This is why I have a manager on my staff. My manager did though give [redacted] my name and number as well as his name plus it is spelled out on his shirt. As far as [redacted] calling [redacted] my manager also gave them my name but not my phone numbers as well as his name and number. My phone number is unlisted and I would like to keep it that way. After reading on in [redacted] second letter to you, I made some very important findings. I called [redacted] on [redacted] Road in [redacted] and talked to the owner of the company. He remembered the car very specifically as well as the owner of the vehicle. He in fact did tell me that YES they did work on [redacted]'s [redacted]. He also told me that it took his installer ([redacted]) 30 minutes to wire up to the auto lamps. This was something I said I would take care of for [redacted] at no cost in my first letter to the B.B.B...His Installer WAS NOT on the phone with [redacted] the whole time. It should be noted that my business and [redacted] business are both [redacted] retail resellers and installation facilities. [redacted] are the manufactures of [redacted] products. The owner of [redacted] did tell me that [redacted] did not appear to know how to use the product. He also stated that our job was very neat and a clean installation and the owner did NOT tell [redacted] we get a lot of repairs from our company. The owner of [redacted] said he will be more than happy to put together a statement of the true facts.  What still bothers me is why if everything is working fine doesn't [redacted] feel it necessary to pay for the item which is still installed in his vehicle.  Something is wrong here! This is in response to the B.B.B. letter you have sent to Advanced Auto Electronics. I will address all issues that the customer has stated he is having a problem with. My manager had tried several times tell to the customer how the unit actually works, to be exact it was 5 times he explained how...

the unit works. A detailed instruction booklet was also provided to the customer. We have no idea if he read it or not. ISSUE # 1) The customer states that the parking lights on the vehicle do not blink when he locks or unlocks the doors with the remote. OUR RESPOSE: What he states is actually true to a degree. What he has left out is that this is a $25.00 option on this unit. [redacted] did not want to hear this. ISSUE # 2) The customer states that the panic mode will not work on the remote control. OUR RESPOSE: What he states is actually true to a degree. What he has left out is that this is a $25.00 option on this unit. [redacted] did not want to hear this. ISSUE # 3) The customer states that my manager would not give him his name or the name of the owner of the shop. OUR RESPOSE: What he states is almost true. All of my employees have their names embroidered on their shirts. My Manager Carl did however give [redacted] not only my name, but also my cellular phone number at which I can be reached at any time. The only time I will not answer is if I leave my phone in the car or elsewhere. At the very least he should have left a message for me to call him back. ISSUE # 4) The remote starter that was installed in [redacted] automobile was a [redacted] - [redacted] - 2 way - 4 button unit including installation. OUR RESPOSE: The unit actually cost [redacted] $329.99 + 8.75 % (We cannot control the sales tax) which was $28.88 making the final cost of $358.87. It should be noted that we Did Not Charge [redacted] for wiring the power locks and the power trunk release into the remote control system. This is normally a $65.00 charge to do this. I should also say that we do have less expensive 2 way remote start units which he was shown. [redacted] chose to go with the more expensive unit and not the less expensive unit. WHAT WE WILL DO FOR [redacted]: We will install the parking lights so that they flash when he locks and unlocks his door with our remote control at no charge (Normally a $25.00 charge). We will also install the necessary wiring for the panic mode to work for $20.00. There is nothing I can do about the price as this is the unit [redacted] had chosen to have installed in his automobile. I will not have Carl my Manager talk to him or work on his car. Sincerely Pete Duchmann President of A.A.E
