Advanced Behavioral Health Reviews (1)

My first indication that this business was not run well was when they mailed my sons appointment card to my house with our address on it with another boys name on it from his school (HIPPA violation). Then they put the wrong appointment date and time on our appointment card and when I called to change my sons appointment that is how I found out. The second was when I checked out and asked to pay my bill in full up to that point, which would have been 2 visits so far, one in May and one in June. It was a large bill of some $800. I paid in full. Our third visit should have been to discuss results with [redacted] and my son was supposed to meet for a second time with [redacted]. But when Ms. [redacted] called my sons name she brought us both into her room and ended up discussing the results with us together. As we came out of the room I told her my son was supposed to have seen [redacted] and she asked my son if he needed to see her and he said no and said it was very late anyway and that she may be gone (it was the last Friday in June before 4th of July). So we left.I get my bill in the mail saying I owed for a May visit and also a visit with both [redacted] and [redacted] at our last visit. I was confused because I thought I had paid in full in June and why were we getting charged for a May visit and to see Ms. [redacted] when we did not. I went into their office to discuss my bill with them. I advised the person in the billing dept that I did not have a problem paying my bill if I owed money, but when I was there in June I asked to pay in full up to that point and I paid some $801.01. Why was I being charged for a May bill and also for a person we did not see on our last visit? I told her that we had been scheduled to see Ms. [redacted]; but that we did not see her that day as my son came in the room with me and went over the results with Ms. [redacted]. She said, I know you Believe that is what happened but we will have to look at it. That made me so mad when she said Believe. I told her, I dont believe, I KNOW! I was there! She noted that it said we saw [redacted] that day in her records. I am an RN and I know that is false documentation. I told her if Ms. [redacted] wrote a clinic note saying she saw my son that day I would like to see it because she did not. I left the bill with her and told her to talk with [redacted] and [redacted] and get back with me as I had a dentist appt. Next thing I know I get a [redacted] EOB in the mail billing them for my sons visit with Ms. [redacted] in June on the day we did NOT see her! This is now Oct and it came last week, which means they submitted it after I came in there and complained. Next thing I know I get another bill in the mail from Advanced Behavioral exactly like the one they mailed me before. No changes to it whatsoever.Desired SettlementAs I said before I do not have a problem paying if I do actually owe them, but they need to get their act together. I am definitely not paying for the one with Ms. [redacted] on the day we did not see her. They need to resubmit a new bill to me with the correct fees I owe, if any! I refuse to pay any late fees, as this is bad business. Business Response We are very sorry for the experience this consumer reported she received from our office. We have contacted consumer and responded to her concerns to settle the matter.Final Consumer Response The company did contact me, but never admitted that my son did not see the MD the day I said he did not. They simply suggested Ms. [redacted] would waive her fee to the smallest possible amount (which is absurd since he did NOT see her that day!). Hopefully in the future the company will not try to do this to other patients/customers. It is fraud. I would advise anyone who goes there to check there statements/bills they receive to make sure they are correct.
