Advanced Care

Review: In 2012 my mother-in-law, [redacted] (age 90), purchased a "Life Choice" portable oxygen concentrator manufactured by Inova Labs. She purchased the product through Advanced Care under their 3 year warranty and she paid cash (credit card) for the product. The purchase price was about $4,000. At the time of the purchase she was told that Advanced Care would service the product and that while the product was being serviced that Advanced Care would provide a "loaner" machine so that she would not be inconvenienced. [redacted] needs to be on oxygen at all times as prescribed by her physician. On December **, 2014 the machine ceased functionality and provides a constant red light indicating a general malfunction (as described in the manual). The machine does not operate as it should and is not usable. I have attempted to contact Advanced Care on December [redacted], and [redacted]; each time I contact customer service they are rude and do not answer my questions. I have been hung up on numerous time, placed on hold indefinitely, and been lied to about return phone calls. Further the employees will not allow me to speak to [redacted]s nor will any [redacted] return my calls. I continue to call with no success and they are incredulous and avoidant.

I have further contacted the manufacturer of the device, Inova Labs in Texas, they have been helpful. However, I have been told that they are wholesale only and they only way to have the device serviced is through Advanced Care.

Due to the device not working my mother in law is now housebound. I have told this to advanced care, they are not sympathetic. The customer service at Advanced Care is dismal.
