I've had contact with many people from different collections agency's over the years and I've never spoken with anyone that wasn't either rude or I cannot understand what they are saying to meI contacted advanced collection bureau last week looking to clear up a collection matter and was so delighted to reach this lovely women who spoke with me and answered my questions, she helped me reach the person I needed to reach, mrC***, and I was so surprised when he was just as polite, lovely and helpful as the women I spoke with I feel like he has gone out of his way to try and help me with a matter that wasn't looking good as far as getting it resolved I was never so happy in my life to have a debt turned over to an collection agency, or to look forward to a call from them
I have excellent credit, 800+ on all bureaus and have never had an unpaid bill in my lifeAdvanced collections posted a $bill to my credit scoreI checked with***, the supposed original creditor, and after speaking with their billing department, they were unable to identify any outstanding bills and did not know of anything being referred to collectionsI called advanced collections and spoke with a debt collector, Grace A***She was unable to give me any information about the supposed debti am extremely busy and don't have time do deal with this nonsense so I agreed to pay the total balance to have it cleared off of my creditGrace said they like to retrieve bank information to "recreate" a check on their end to pay the balanceI told her that I don't believe my bank allows this because it doesn't allow for e-checks or other 3rd party check printing servicesI offered her to simply mail in a check for the balance and she replied very frustrated stating that it's better to just do it their way and she's sure it'll be fineweeks later I get a phone call from MsGrace saying the check did not go throughI told her I was not surprised because I specifically told her before that my bank doesn't do those 3rd party check thingsShe was angry and said "no! All banks do it!" Since the check didn't go through they are adding a $fee to my balanceSo now I am mailing to them a check for $223, just like I suggested I do before, but now they are charging even more moneyThis company is a total scamThe debt I supposedly owe isn't even real and Grace's error is costing me even moreI've been nothing but respectfully and cooperative with them, agreeing to pay a lot of money without recourse and she had been rude and frustrated with me on the phone each timeIt's ridiculous
