The fuel injector/intake cleaning service that the customer refers to cost $was performed on this vehicleIt was a service that was recommended to the customer as a mileage maintenance recommendation
The customer was approached by
our service associate in our waiting area and explained to her the service that was recommended to be performed on her vehicle, both Honda's recommendation and our recommendationTo which she agreed to both service and priceShe sat waiting in our waiting area while all the service was performed on her vehicle
It was not till all of the service was performed did she question anything about the priceShe approached another service associate and complained to them regarding the fuel injection/intake service, to which as a customer accommodation our service associate credited the cost of $service that was performed
In regards to the tire rotation
We measure tread depth with a special tread depth gauge on every tire to determine proper tire position for maximum tire longevity for our customersThis being the case here, the tires should not be moved at that time to ensure maximum tire lifeWhen it comes time for her tires to be rotated we will make her aware of it and it will be complimentary as she did purchase the tires from us
We contacted the Honda dealer regarding the cost of the valve cover gasket needed for doing the valve lash adjustment on her vehicleWe were told it was needed for this service by the Honda dealer and it was in their price for doing the service
We also asked the Honda Dealer for the cost of the same 100k service that we performed for her
The Dealer cost for same service performed would be $+ tax
Their cost for the fuel injection/intake service that we performed and she was not charged for, was another $+ tax
Our Final invoice cost to her including tax was $
A valve cover gasket is very necessary when performing the valve lash adjustment in order to prevent oil leakage after this service is performed
The fuel injection/intake cleaning is a recommended service by mileageThis service helps increase gas mileage while removing carbon and varnish deposits from fuel injectors, intake and valvesIn our opinion it is a complimenting service to do while adjusting valve lash for optimum performance, which is why it was recommended
We will attempt to call this customer and try to resolve what issues she has
