Advanced Eye MDS

Review: I purchased eye glasses from Advanced Eye MDs. After receiving the glasses, they were uncomfortably heavy even though I paid an extra amount for the thinner lenses, and the lenses produced a lot of glare. They admitted the lenses were accidentally polished which caused the glare, and was their error. They also indicated that the larger the frames, the more glare there would be. So, since they needed to redo the lens anyway, they agreed to let me pick out smaller frames, which would reduce the weight and the glare.

After going back to their office to pick out new frames as they agreed, [redacted] took over, changing their entire stance. She said they could not honor me picking out new frames. They can only redo the lenses of the same size. If I were to pick out new frames, that would cost them more money to create the new size lens, and the insurance company will not cover that. She apologized for me being misinformed by the other person and wasting my time. I was very upset about this, but [redacted] said if I was able to get my insurance company to agree to covering the cost of the new lenses of a smaller size, they would then be able to honor the exchange.

I explained the situation to my insurance company and they agreed to cover the cost of the new lens. After going back to Advanced Eye MDs a second time with the good news, so that I could pick out a new frame, they changed their entire stance again. They now said they cannot honor exchanging new glasses because the original frames are considered used and they would not be able to resell them. However, I had left the glasses in their possession after my first visit, so they were not being used during this time, and they know that.

In summation, they repeatedly misinform me of my options, then took those options away with new excuses each time I spoke to them.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to honor their original agreements with me, to pick out a new frame, and utilize the insurance company's offer to cover the new lens size, and to stop using the excuse that the frames are now used since I only had them in my possession briefly.
