hard in the left rear and rendered undriveable. The tow truck that dropped it off put it on the other side of the lot. Vehicles towed that do not have an appointment take longer to write especially when they are not drivable and when the shop is extremely busy. A preliminary estimate was sent to [redacted] as per procedure on 7/14. That estimate reached beyond 70% of a total loss, which in that case [redacted] will do an evaluation and let the shop know how far they are willing to go to repair the vehicle. On 7/17 [redacted]alled [redacted] because we hadn’t heard anything and the total loss department asked us to do a tear down and if was below a certain dollar amount we should proceed with repairs. On 7/18 the vehicle was reconstructed to get it towed into the shop and put onto a lift where the vehicle could be torn down and estimated more thoroughly. After the inspection the vehicle was re-written and was below the figure that [redacted] gave to be a total loss. The estimate was thought to be uploaded, but apparently was not or it did not go thru. The parts were ordered on that same afternoon and did not delay repairs. The major part that needed to come in before starting repairs was delivered on 7/21 sometime in the afternoon. The technician assigned to this vehicle had to complete a vehicle or two to begin major repairs to this vehicle. The estimate was written for around 84 hours of repair. That roughly figures to 21 days of repair. The vehicle was completed on 8/16 and then sent over to have the suspension aligned , brought back and cleaned for delivery for 8/17 following a quality control check. We apologize for any miscommunication that may have happened, but we believe the vehicle was done in a timely manner with quality and the customers safety being of the utmost importance.
