Review: We purchased some couch cushions this July from Advanced Furniture Repair, a locally owned and operated business out of Richland, WA. They were recommended through Furniture Row -- where my husband and I had purchased our furniture 7 years ago. We had originally called Furniture Row to purchase new couch cushions for our couches, but our couches were discontinued by Furniture Row, so they referred us to their furniture repair specialist --- [redacted] @ Advanced Furniture Repair. [redacted] called us, scheduled an appointment to come out to our home and look at our couches. He told me that he would order us 5 high quality foam cushions, I wrote him a check for $550 gave it to him, he wrote me a receipt for the sale and advised my husband and I that it could take up to 10 weeks for the cushions to come in -- this was back in July. It's now December. After 10 weeks I started calling him, with no response. Then I contact Furniture Row because I could not get a hold of [redacted] at all. They said they would have him call me. I finally decided to text [redacted], and he responded. He will only communicate through text.I asked for a refund two weeks ago, he asked me to give him 2 weeks to complete -- I said that sounded good. Now he is not responding to me at all![redacted] is a "co-owner" of Advanced Furniture Repair, so there is someone else in the mix (found this out from Pasco PD). He claims to have been out of work for 3 months -- which He won't answer ANY of my phone calls, BUT he has responded to my texts, which I guess is better because I have everything documented on my phone.Bottom line -- we want out money back :)Can you help?Desired Settlement: My money back! $550

[redacted] was great. I had an old [redacted] recliner that my husband has loved for years and it broke on him and he could'nt find any new recliners that he liked anywhere. One of the local furniture stores referred us to Advanced Furniture Repair. [redacted] came to our home and gave us a free estimate. We agreed on a price that was very reasonable. It took about 4 weeks for him to get the parts in, but my husband is back in his comfy recliner again. Thank [redacted].
Review: [redacted], owner of Advanced Furniture Repair, is a liar and a thief. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. He gave us a bid for furniture repair and he asked for a huge deposit. He took the $ and didn't do any of the work. He kept giving me an excuse that he was sick and in treatment in Seattle. This is the same story he told someone else last year!! It's been 3 months and I can't get him to either do the job or give me my money back. He is completely untrustworthy.Desired Settlement: I would like my full $950 back.
