Review: On October 28, 2013, I received a notice from a bill collector regarding a disputed debt to this place of business. Since late 2012, I have been trying to rectify/correct incorrect billing notices sent by this place of business. It has been arduous to say the least. The last letter I sent was in June 2013. I faxed it to the number provided to me at the billing office in [redacted]. Apparently, either my letter with supporting documentation was not received or ignored because I now have a collection notice that will possibly mess up my credit score. I am IRATE to say the least. Please see my notice last letter sent to Advanced Health Professionals below:To Advanced Health Professionals:Please see the attached copies containing the transaction details for two $100.00 checks sent in November and December 2012 to pay down the outstanding balance owed.Since the bank could not provide a copy of the actual check, the transaction details include the following: Activity date, Trace Number, and Description.The November payment was found by the [redacted] office and was applied to my account, after I received a bill in January 2013 for the incorrect balance at $291.69. The December payment was processed by my bank in the same manner as the November payment but that payment was never found. This money has already been deducted from my account. I did send a personal check for the remaining balance of $91.69 in March 2013 with a letter about the dispute but apparently this was not received or acknowledged by the [redacted] office. After talking to the office in [redacted], I was advised to cancel the check which cost me $36.00.I have done the right things to reconcile this account. There is something wrong at the [redacted] office when 2 payments are lost in a span of 4 months .I hope this information resolves the missing $100.00 payment from December. At this point, I dont feel comfortable sending a check or credit card info for the remaining balance until the $100.00 is deducted from my balance.Desired Settlement: Considering the time and money spent (fax charges, postage, canceled check fee), I want this the bill 100% waived ($191.69).I have been cooperative and proactive and all I get in return is a bill collector notice?! There are incompetent billing people at this organization...you can't get them on the phone, messages are not returned in a timely manner or the responsible party is just not available. On top of that, they lost two of my checks - one sent from my bank, another I wrote personally.

I am sorry to hear of your frustration. We understand and have already written off any and all balances to date. You have brought to light a procedural glitch which we have corrected. Specifcally, the group recently contracted with [redacted] for collection services. The contract is dated October 10, 2013 with the first collection accounts being forwarded to ** on October 22, 2013. You received your letter on October 28, 2013.

We missed a step. These first collection accounts were sent directly to ** by our office in [redacted]. You were in communication with our group's medical billing agency. They are in [redacted]. What we should have done and have since procedurally modified, is to have collection accounts processed though our billing agency. This will ensure the accuracy of any accounts forwarded to **.
