Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please respond in this space ONLY] In response to Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning/[redacted] lawyer, Ms. Rebecca [redacted], and the reason why we do not accept the response made. While it is true we have tried to mediate and come to a resolve as to incomplete work that was performed for Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] Sr. We have been unable to. We have made Ms. [redacted] aware of the issues surrounding why complaints have been launched against her client. 1. The installation of an inappropriate sized HVAC. The unit should be 3 to 4 ton in accordance with the ducts, e.g. A 5 ton unit will over heat and cycle off and on trying to force 5 tons of air through 2-3 ton ducts. The reason for the off and on cycle is because the furnace unit needs to cool itself so as not to cause fire. 2. The duct work that was supposed to be repaired was insufficiently done which in turn is why the unit will not function properly. Also Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning failed to notice the necessity to remove asbestos insulation from the ducts. Asbestos has been discontinued since the late 70's early 80's because of possible health risk if it airborne.
3. Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning failed to obtain a HERS test/inspection and permit before installation of the unit, which means if the any type of damage to the home were to occur due to the installed 5 ton Rheem HVAC Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]'s home insurance would not cover damages. Also without having the proper asbestos removal and sized ducts for a 5 ton unit Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning would not have been able to obtain a Permit.
4. Mr [redacted], Principal and owner of Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning took advantage of Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]'s elderly age and not being able to decipher information. Mr. [redacted] is ill and Mrs. [redacted] tries her best to keep up. They both were under the impression that Mr. [redacted] and company were a part of the repair work approved by their Home Insurance company USAA. Furthermore Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] never called Mr. [redacted] to do work for them, he was introduced through one of USAA's vendors Integrity Restoration. It is my opinion that Integrity Restoration representatives receive kick backs for referral work.
That all being said along with the attached file of correspondence. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] reject the response and offer by Ms. [redacted] Client because they given the opportunity before any complaints were launched to come in and make repairs to the work but without any cost. Instead they rejected that offer and got a lawyer, leaving Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] without sufficient heat during a cold spell. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] mean no harm or ill will toward Ms. [redacted]s clients, but they cannot trust that Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning will completely do the work necessary. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] also have a genuine fear of Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning doing any more work in their home. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] only wish to have working heating and air conditioning for which they paid Ms. [redacted]s clients in full for.
Attached are supporting documents.
Regards,
[redacted]
