I am rejecting this response because:Mr. James Q[redacted]’s response is an ill-fated attempt to discuss his original sprinkler system install agreement.  Yes, the quote he attached does show only the 4 zones for the lawn area.   He agreed to install the 4 zones and also install two lines to the flowerbeds on both sides of the rear lawn. I called him when I received this quote and he stated it was just a quick quote and apologized for its missing information.  His customer service, ethics and attention to detail are severally lacking.   He came to my premise only once and we discussed the job to include the four zones, plus two additional lines run for me to later complete the line & systems to each flower bed.  He took no written notes, was unable to tell a quantitative number of heads for each zone, type of sprinkler heads, how many for each zone, type & size of back flow preventer, type of system controller.  When asked for more definitive information he said it would be spelled out on the quote.  As you can see quote is very limited in detail and does not supply information on sprinkler types, how many heads. etc.  When I queried him, he said he was too rushed and busy to update quote and just trust he that job will be satisfactory and “You’ll like it”.  He sent a new technician down which he recently hired with limited instructions. He sent the technician down at 7:30am on 9/1/16 to pick up check for $2,850.  I reviewed the job with tech and asked where the two zones where and he said he forgot.  Asked about the sprinkler head put in xeriscape and the other in the sidewalk area and he said it was the best place to put them.  I explained to tech he needs to run the lines and he said he could run one line only because he already closed up the trenched he dug by hand and it was too much work to open them again. The tech dug up some dirt for about 8 feet in length. and laid a 1” line about two + inches under the surface to the nearest flowerbed with no caps on either end, allowing dirt & debris to enter the “line”. Additionally, the back-flow preventer was installed at an angle so was not perpendicular to the foundation wall.I had to leave for work. The technician indicated he would make the corrections and completed the job.  Against my better judgement, I wrote a check for the entire amount of $2850 and drove to work. When I returned in the evening I noticed he left tools, sprinkler pipe in 1” + and ½ diameter, fittings “on the property. An 1 zone valve box was placed haphazardly next to the 4-zone control box with a piece of pipe showing inside that did nothing.  I assumed he was coming back again tomorrow to complete.I never saw or heard from the tech again. I did not bother to contact him as disappointed in his workmanship and frankly didn’t want he on my property any linger.  I adjusted the back-flow preventer myself, relocated the xeriscape sprinkler head and raised some of the sprinkler heads on all zones so they were above the ground surface slightly and not lower the surface like he left them. I also capped the one 8 foot 1” line to the flowerbed so no rain, snow or debris would get into it during the winter.  James never came back to supervise the job, inspect the work or collect the money for the job.  His comment that he was going to run the two lines as a favor while he had his line pulling machine on site is another misnomer as there never was a machine here to pull the lines.  The tech trenched every line with a spade, leaving dirt and grass clumps everywhere. I leveled all the trenches with top soil & grass seed. This spring I opened up the additional valve box and found just one piece of pipe.  I dug the box out and found just a chunk of 1” pipe exposed that was of no use. I called James and he stated he would send a tech down next week to install the lines to the flower bed properly. I trenched both flower beds and installed lines as James assured me before I needed to “energize the system” he would get the lines installed. Two weeks went by & I contact James again.  He texted me at 9pm on April 6th, 2017 asking for the picture of the sprinkler box with manifold and stated a tech would be down first thing next morning to run the additional line and get the other line run properly so I could hook up both flower beds.Next morning   no show by technician. About 9:15 am I sent text to James with address & nearest main intersection, thinking the tech may be lost.  James emails a notice the tech is not coming as the quote does not show anything about two addition lines.  No phone call.  My wife called his number and asked him to call her back but no reply from James. In any form of communication. One can only imagine the quality of customer service his organization does not supply. I have pictures of the sprinkler head in the xeriscape and sprinkler head in the gravel sidewalk & driveway edge.  Unbelievable that one would water gravel from two sprinkler heads.  Please make a permanent note to consumers regarding Advanced Landscaping Company’s poor customer service, poor workmanship and failure of the owner to honor his word. I would not have them back for any warranty work as I’m sure there would be an excuse why a leaky line, a malfunctioning sprinkler head was not his or a warranty problem.   This company is not upholding quality standards the Revdex.com expects.
