Repairs improperly made and caused more damage after said repairs My truck went into shop on or about 11/26/2015 for the initial repair of oil cooler.which quickly turned into head gasket job, which turned into several other repairs. It took the better part of three months to do aproximately 2 to 3 days work.I had my driver pick up the vehicle on several occasions and everytime vehicle was not ready. Everytime I was told by owner of franchise that he would make it right. Finally in February the repairs were completed. My driver picked up vehicle. He make the trip to [redacted] and then made trip to [redacted] at which point engine locked up. After which [redacted] diagnosed the problem as being the vehicle was improperly repaired. I had my representative contact [redacted] at Advanced he initially offered my representative ([redacted]). The sum of $20,000.00, then he broke contact and since has refused all Attempts to resolve this issue.Desired Settlementthis is a commercail vehicle I wish to be paid for the replacement of vehicle Business Response This was discussed and reviewed, the facts are some what different than what the consumer states.WE are very concerned about any issue that directly reflects on our reputation, and take great concern and always put the customer first. No statements where offered of any money, nor would 20k ever be offered. The owner of this location did offer to assist if something was found, but nothing was ever substantiated in the repair or authorized by us. The dealer doing the repair went about do what they felt and the owner told them Advanced Maintenance would pay, so it became a life of its own. In the end this was a high mileage vehicle with multiple issue, yes it did take longer than eve anticipated, due to parts availability, work load, and time constraints on such a job. note he sates in shop 11/26/15, we are not there yet?The consumer can reach out to this location and Mr. [redacted] for future discussions.Consumer Response First as to the snide remark about the date that was an error in typing. Their are witnesses to the phone conversation where in Mr. [redacted] offered $20,000 so that in and of itself is a lie on their part. Secondly [redacted] did a thorough investigation and found that it was inferior and improper work done by Mr. [redacted]s staff. They did not follow protocol or procedure in this repair. That is according to [redacted]. I again would like to resolve this. However if Mr [redacted] persist in trying to bury his head in sand and hoFinal Business Response A disagreement. First 20k was never offered, he offered 2k at one point and your representative never called him back. 20 k is more than a new engine, and if they were at fault, their responsibility under the law is to get it back to the condition it was, not new. This is an independent shop, you must deal with Mr. [redacted]. the case is closed as far as we are concerned at corporate. Again, mostly hearsay.
