Advanced Merchant Services called and stated there is a new law where the merchant is liable for credit card purchases after 10-1-15 if you don't have the special chip reader. They sent us a contract for a new machine free of charge expressing the urgency of the situation.
When questioned about some fees in the contract they answer as if they are looking at the old contract on a computer and say don't worry about them they are the same as your last contract. We sign with them and find out they are not with our company Merchant Services.
I think we have cancelled with this company but they do have sensitive personal and corporate bank account and social security numbers in their possession.
