December 12, 2017To *** ***This letter serves the formal response to the complaint ?led on 12/7/with assigned reference number of ***.We did receive a phone call and subsequent follow up emails from *** *** regarding an orthopedic brace that her mother receivedWe thoroughly explained to *** *** that we are a manufacturer of orthopedic soft goods and that we offer additional ful?llment services many customers throughout the United States.After working closely with *** *** she was able to ?nd paperwork enclosed in the order that identi?ed the supplier of recordThe supplier is the company that coordinated the delivery of the orthopedic device and simply utilized us for product fulfillment We fully explained that we do not market or sell any products to the general public and do not bill any insurance companies, including Medicare, for any of our products.We do however; sell to many providers including durable medical equipment companies, hospitals, pharmacies and the likeIn addition to manufacturing orthopedic products we also offer ful?llment services; meaning we will ship our products on behalf of our customer.That is the scenario that occurred in this caseOur customer requested that we ship a brace on their behalfUpon arrival *** *** assumed that we were the actual provider for the brace, which, as stated above, we are not We have been working closely with *** *** to insure she gets this resolved to hersatisfaction and at the time of this letter we believe that is the case.If there is any additional information we can provide you to assist in closing this compliant with the acknowledgement that the customer is fully satis?ed with Advanced Orthopaedics please let us know.Sincere Regards,BAnne W***Compliance Officer
This company is sending my elderly mother unwanted and un-ordered medical devices They are also making repeated harassing phone calls I have told them to stop and returned their merchandise via ***, un-opened They keep sending Terrible nuisance and quite possibly criminal medicare fraud perpetrators
My year old father has received back braces since March I have called the phone # to ask why he is receiving them and all of them continue to tell me its a marketing company that talks to my fatherIt has been stated that my father (years old)receives a call regarding back or knee pain and of coarse his responds is I do experience pain why wouldn't I? However he has never requested any type of braceI have called the different places where the braces come from and they all say you can only return product within hours! They are charging medicare and supposedly they call the victims personal Drwhich they don't! It really upsets me that a marketing co is taking advantage of seniors as well as medicare!
