I drove all the way to Gatlinburg TNFrom Texas (18+ hr drive)I finally arived at the office at 9AM and was desperately hoping to check in early so we could shower and changeI had checked to see if our cabin was rented and it had not been for leading up to our stay so I thought they may let us inThey only let us in at 2pm but I was okay with thatWe finally were able to go to the cabin and quickly found that there was dog poop on the living room floor under the tableI did not bring a dog nor did I book a pet cabinI proceeded to go downstairs and was hit by the smell of urineI called the front office and told them about it they told me to wait for someone to come up so I didLong story short we wasted another hour waiting on him when we had cleaned it up ourselvesThey charge a $cleaning fee by the way that they will not refund for you having to clean it yourselfWe also left out cabin during the day and came back to find someone had not only been in our cabin but our neighbors as well AND locked them outThis was confirmed by the neighbor when he went to speak to the manager! I could not believe itI will NEVER stay there again!

We rented the Rustic Elegance cabin for Christmas with the familyThe cabin was extremely dirty, there were dead bugs in the light fixtures, dust on all the ceiling fans, mold on the dishes, and shower was not cleanReported a fireplace not working on day one, arrival day, and was not addressed until I called back on day twoAlso reported on day two that the upstairs toilet would not flush and when the maintenance came they unclogged but in the meantime got, I will not use the word I want to use, *** all over the wall and floor and leftI also reported that the upstairs had no water pressureAs it turned out later in the week when the family joined we learned that only one person could get a hot showerWe tried waiting at least an hour in between but this did not helpCabin could be great but Aunt Bugs is not maintaining the cabin very wellAlso Beware before you rent that their so called cancellation insurance policy is ***I tried to cancel months out when my mother-in-law was put under hospice care but was deniedShe passed ** late November so the get away was nice but still when you are risking this kind of money and are denied with a valid reason you question the businessI would not recommend Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals to anyone and I have been telling all my coworkers and friends about our negative experience

The cabin picture has not been updated so you do see what it looks like todayThe windows on the outside haven t been cleaned it quite some time ,there was dried tree sap on the glass front, spider webs on the outside of othersThe toilet bowl was not clean , there was dust all around they accused our dog of damage she did not do and charged an additional charge to our credit cardThe living room couch and chair needs to be in a dumpsterwe would discourage anyone from staying with aunt bugsThe rocking chairs were covered in mold on the porch

A large group of our friends booked a cabin in Gatlinburg with Aunt BugsOn Monday, Feb 16, the state of Tennessee experienced a huge ice storm Our reservations were made for Feb 18-Being intelligent human beings, my husband and I made a phone call to aunt bugs office on Tuesday to validate that the roads would be accessible My husband spoke with Jenelle at the local aunt bugs office Jenelle assured us in two separate phone calls that the roads were not an issue and we would be able to access our cabin without major difficulty So, of us packed and drove from mobile, al (9+ hours away), under the impression that our cabin was ready and waiting for us BOY, WERE WRONG! Upon arrival to chattanooga, TN, (hours before check in time on the date of the event) that our cabin was not accessibleNot only did Aunt Bugs not offer us an alternative solution, but they basically (without using these words) said "sucks for you Hope you bought travel insurance!" we were never offered even an APOLOGY! Thankfully, we went with another cabin rental company that more than accommodated us and their customer service was top notch Aunt Bugs obviously needs to learn a little from this other companyTo top it off, when I left a review on their Facebook page, the response from the company made it seem like it was our fault! I hope this place gets enough complaints to shut it down No one should have to experience such horrible customer service

We stayed at lovers lake cabin when we arrived there was a dirty xxxx on the floor The cabin was filthy dirty with cobwebs everywhere both the rocking chairs on the deck were broken the hot tub on the deck was falling in The ice machine did not work they advertise a lake you can walk to you can not walk to the scummy lake the steps to the lake are falling in and they have them blocked off this cabin needs major work I called and complained and nothing was done I don't recommend anyone staying with this company very very poor attitudes!!!

Had never been to Gatlinburg before, the pictures of Creekside Tranquility # looked nice, so rented it months in advance When we got into town, the road was not marked like their directions said, so I called the office to say we were lost A very rude woman yelled at me & made me feel like an it after driving daysGot to the office & was checked in by a pleasant young man while old "meanie" sat there smirkingManaged to get to the "cabin", despite no signs, just happened to see it from the road The house is for sale & it is apparent the owners nor ABugs care about this dumpIt is also apparent the reviews I read were bogusOne woman who praised the BEDsaid she was from PHENIX If you are from Phoenix, you would know how to spell the city you live inThe paint is peeling, neighbors are just feet awayThe "sound of the creek?", get real, the creek is about feet across & inches deepSome reviews said they saw wild turkeys & a bear, lol!! The place was filthy, cobwebs on the bed post, door frames, the grill looked like one someone had dug up from a state park, the "views" are of your neighbors a few feet away & the roadBut the worst thing was the bedWhen we laid down, it creaked loudly & you could feel the springs poking you in the back & kidneysWe spent night sleepless, then went to *** the next day & spent $on a foam topper.Without that we would have checked into any number of very nice motels that were cheaperEven the mattress pad was so thin & cheap that a better one would have helpedThe tub in the photos is IN the living roomThat space would have been nice for a washer/dryer or more seating, anythingEven the couch is uncomfortableThe place just screams cheap & dirty & neglected & it was not cheapThere was ONE kitchen towel to last us days & nights, no washer/dryerNo internet or wi-fi, we just ate all our meals out & did our best to sleep on that horrible bedThe hot tub was filthy & the jets did not workAll those glowing reviews are made up, there is NO view unless you count the red wasps nest on the kitchen windowThe hot tub is on the back of the house with a mountain of dirt surrounding you or you can look next door at the nice log cabin as they look at youThe pillows were old, stained, smelly, nasty & about inch thickGAG! Had to buy pillows at *** tooI have rented cabins in New *** *** & beach houses along the gulf coast & had good experiences for less moneythis place is a dump, I reviewed it as requested, but they did not publish mine of course If you have never been to that area, please know that there are THOUSANDS of cabin rentals, everywhere you look, so do not settle for this place, you will regret every minute you are there

We finally were able to go to the cabin and quickly found that there was dog poop on the living room floor under the table. I did not bring a dog nor did I book a pet cabin. I proceeded to go downstairs and was hit by the smell of urine. I called the front office and told them about it they told me to wait for someone to come up so I did. Long story short we wasted another hour waiting on him when we had cleaned it up ourselves. They charge a $50 cleaning fee by the way that they will not refund for you having to clean it yourself. We also left out cabin during the day and came back to find someone had not only been in our cabin but our neighbors as well AND locked them out. This was confirmed by the neighbor when he went to speak to the manager! I could not believe it. I will NEVER stay there again!

We had a cabin booked for October 2016, for a week. Due to unforeseen circumstances with my husbands job, we had to cancel our stay (we cancelled 3 months early). When booking our stay over the phone, the representative told me that the $77 for travel insurance was to ensure we'd get back all but $77 of our half-down deposit, should we need to cancel for ANY REASON, as long as it was done 30 days before our check-in date. When I called to cancel, I was told we had to cancel through the travel agency. I called the travel agency and was told that they have very specific reasons for getting a full refund when canceling and ours didn't meet any of their 16 reasons. I called Aunt Bug's back and asked for them to refund my money and the representative told me there was nothing she could do. By this point, I was extremely upset with their run-around and told her their contract states that we can cancel for a $120 fee. She placed me on hold for 15 minutes and came back to tell me that they would refund me my deposit, minus the $77 travel insurance fee and their $120 cancellation fee. Ultimately we had to pay $200 to cancel a reservation 3 months in advance. Their customer service is absolutely terrible, each person I spoke to told me a different policy and their staff is rude and accusatory. Their cabins may be pleasant to stay in, according to some reviews, but I will never book there again, nor will I recommend them to anyone that I know.

The cabin was fine, however the water smelled like rotten eggs from a sulfur buildup I assume. I went to address the situation with the front desk and maintenance and all they told me was that, that was how the water smelled that time of year because it was on a well. Even though I find that hard to believe since I could tell that no one did any maintenance on the cabin. If they did the hot tub wouldn't have been spraying water all over the place when we uncovered it, the batteries in the remotes would have been checked to see if they worked and light bulbs would have been replaced. yet somehow they assured me maintenance had been out there prior to my arrival. Even if the water somehow did smell like that this time of year, a heads up would have greatly appreciated seeing as how I spent almost $500 for a two night stay in 'A Smokin View". After all this I asked if we could just use another cabin that didn't have that rotten egg smell to it since they clearly had a vacancy sign lit up outside the building. They said they couldn't put us in a cabin for one night and that if they did I would have to pay for the cabin and reservation fees all over again for one night. We ended up stay in a cheap hotel for our last night wasn't great but at least the smell of the water was bearable.

Horribly filthy, mouse infested, finger printed Windows urine stained mattress cover. Unwashed dried urine on the quilt. Cob webs everywhere.

DO NOT RENT FROM AUNT BUGS CABIN RENTAL!!! Heed my warning, you are better off renting from Opie on the side of the road!
They are crooks, you will not get a refund even if your spouse dies!
