I hired Advance Painting to paint my house over one year ago and they did excellent job at that time.
Today, I also have my townhouse painted by Advanced Painting.
Steve B. offered me a reasonable price. Because of trusting Steve B, I let him select the color and writing the contract.
However, I was frustrated when he selects the wall color the same as the color of the trim. If I change the color of trim, I must pay more
In the contract says "Paint all base trim color to match existing". But his guys had painted all the same color until I stopped and requested him to re-do in the kitchen and basement
I walked through with Steve B. His guy missed restoring things and some areas need to touch up after painting
In the contract says "Paint all walls as needed two-three coats as needed. And I found that he did NOT paint the areas between cabinet and ceiling.
He did not agree re-painting one coat for me
After I had paid all amount, I found his guys did not the lower part of the kitchen closet. IT IS TOO LATE!!!
I took the message to him and NEVER got a response
Although the paint of Advanced Painting is professional, I lost the TRUSTWORTHY to Steve B.
Steven B with Advanced Painting was hired to paint one of our customers homes.
He has been paid along the way, in a timely manner, each and every time he asked for a payment.
This past Monday, On March 18th he received a 3rd check from us in the amount of $*** which he cashed immediately.
He has not returned to the job since he cashed that check and he is not taking our calls, or returning our calls.
So, basically, we are out the $*** he cashed plus he never finished the job.
There was a final draw in the amount of $600 that he did not collect.
The first draw I went to get on the job the Super Intendent Gary S is texting me that I should eat the material I had to buy because of his daughter getting in car crash. So I took my time and was nice enough to get the paint for him. He was supposed to go that evening and get it. The text was to absorb some of the cost on the job Josh wants to not pay you for the paint you bought. That was where I was first not comfortable. I Called josh and told him I was going to leave the job if he didn't pay me for the paint. He met with me and wrote me a check. I honestly wanted to part ways at that moment. So then the super intendant Gary S then was talking to my guys on the job every day he seen them trying to get them to look at more work to do. I finally said I'm not doing any more work until this first part is done. I already painted ten Picketts sanded primed and applied two coats of finish paint on the first day. When I said I was going to write a new estimate up for that extra work I was told I wasn't getting paid for that. When Gary s*** told me to do the work and he knows its extras. Then there is the extra work we did in the kitchen. We was supposed to just touch up the kitchen and dining room. The home owner made my guys paint the whole dining room and part of the kitchen. Then there was no talk or it was not on the contract of us caulking the top and bottom of all the windows. The home owner had my guys do every window in the house except for two. The super intendant was aware of all the extra work being done. He knew that it was not going to be paid for. Then when we went to do the walk through. Gary S is telling me I need a paint brush. I said why is that. He said cause Josh wants you to paint the two new windows that is not on your contract so he can get paid. Then the breaking point was when the home owner was yelling at me like I was some child. He was mad because of all the bad work Josh did on his home. So I was taking the three months of bad work like I should fix everything that was wrong and all the work josh did. I really didn't blame the home owner. I would of been lashing out at everyone myself. So first of all there was $*** dollars left on the contract.I deposited the check in my bank account. I didn't run and cash it. You paid me for the work I did up to that point. You are telling these people that you would of paid me money that wasn't owed to me? You know that is not the case. So really you owe me $*** dollars for all the extras I did. I and didn't get paid for. I had one more day left on the job. The seven hundred dollars left covered that. I also have the text of Gary S And Josh trying to get me for the material. I have the checks you wrote the left a $*** dollar balance. I also have the last check you wrote me for work performed up to that point. I knew from the way you guys was trying to keep getting me to do free work and make me pay for the paint when it is in the contract that you was supposed to pay for it.
I was looking for a painting company to paint my kitchen and replace some drywall in my garage. I searched online, and Advanced Painting popped up. I called Steven B and he was very nice and set up an estimate for that week. When he came by we walked through together, going over all the work that needs to be done. It only took Steven and his guys 3 days to finish this job. I am highly impressed with this company and would recommend him to others for a job well done.
