Advanced Paving & Excavating

This past summer, Advanced Paving and Excavating removed our (very!) old driveway and installed a new one. We were very pleased by the quality of workmanship, the timeliness and the knowledge demonstrated by Mr. L[redacted] and the crew he assigned to perform the work.
We have a "challenging" driveway, especially in the winter; it is quite steep at the very beginning and abuts the house on one side and a preciptious dropoff to our neighbors' property/house on the other side. Watching out the window as the heavy equipment (backhoe, dump truck, paver, etc.) worked mere inches from my home was nervewracking, but the crew and machines worked like they were performing a delicate ballet!
The workmen were respectful of our property and consumer concerns and very professional throughout the entire process. They were able, at my request, to subtlely reduce the very steep grade at the beginning of the driveway and were kind enough to repave a portion of the driveway that extended into the street and which had become damaged over the years.
I didn't notice until the warm weather began to wane, however, that they had also "pitched" the former flat-as-could-be driveway a few degrees away from the house in every direction: front, side and back! While I don't look forward to our first snowstorm, I am interested in seeing the difference I expect these changes will make in keeping our driveway free of ice. In past years, the driveway would heat up during the daytime, and, even though the driveway had been plowed, the melting snow would refreeze in place, making it treacherous to walk or drive on. I believe that the slight pitch that was added will help melted snow/ice drain away from the house and garage ... Something I never thought of!
Based on our experience, we would wholeheartedly recommend this company for any homeowner considering a new driveway. While you might find a cheaper vendor, I don't think you would find a more competent and thorough one ... And I believe you get what you pay for: Quality workmanship, all the way!
